So i bought 9 manga books on eBay.

3 books from one seller. Another 6 from another seller. But both sellers are from Japan. So my first parcel was posted on the 22nd of October and the other one on the 23rd, just 26 hrs apart. But both left the outward office of exchange of Tokyo International on the 26th around the same time. I chose registered SAL with tracking and insurance for the first parcel and SAL parcel (registered post with tracking) for the second one (both are actually different methods of shipping, but altogether the same - SAL). Both parcels reached Malaysia on the 31st of October. Into customs on the same day, and left the Malaysian inward office of exchange on the same day. But the thing is, these info are what i got from my tracking at Japan Post website. But on Pos Malaysia website they hadn't updated it in DAYS. The update for both parcels are still stuck on the date they arrived at Tokyo International. And noticed that both parcels have stayed "departure from inward office of exchange" at the Japan Post website since that Friday (31st). Does it take that long to reach any post offices here? Feeling worried about my parcels, i made a phone call to Pos Malaysia customer service for the third time and told them about not having received any updated information about both of my parcels on Pos Malaysia website for days while on the other hand Japan Post updates it immediately. And do you want to know what they told me? They told me the SAME THING like the previous two calls i made to them - my parcels haven't reached Malaysia yet. And all three calls, the consultants told me this BASED on the not updated info on the Pos Malaysia web. And the third time (today) i told them that Japan Post web clearly states that both of my parcels has already REACHED Malaysia and even left customs for days. But regardless to that they kept telling me that "our system says that ur parcels are still in Japan and hasn't even reached Malaysia, miss" and that's when i got mad but just close out the call.

i really don't know where on earth is their prob or whether this just proves how unreliable and inefficient Pos Malaysia is. And what happens if my parcels go missing?? Who do i turn to? Pos Malaysia told me in all three calls that my parcels hasn't reached Malaysia all based on not updated info, which was the day both parcels reached Tokyo International. But that was over a WEEK info.

oh my gawd what do i do!!!!!!

Most probably detained by Kastam already. If printed materials for sure Kastam will open to check. Does the manga has questionable content?

Yup. Pos malaysia is VERY unreliable. 1/3 of my packages from eBay does not arrive wan. And there's no venue for complains. Pos Malaysia will blame kastam, and you can't go kastam without a tracking number. So how?

Means pay for a premium courier service lor. It adds to your overall purchasing cost, but at least you'll get the item.

This is what I did when I have problem getting my packages. Just go to your local postal collection center (e.g. for me in Subang Jaya it is the one in SS13) you look for the "IP" short for inspektor pos. Give him your postal tracking number "if it is a registered mail. He will push his guys to track your parcels.

Please be patient.
1) 31-Oct 4:30pm - already end day of Friday, most likely chunk into Pos Malaysia KLIA bin for the weekend.

2) 1-Nov - Pos Malaysia does not work on first Saturday. Nor Sunday.

3) 3-Nov 11:09am - Pos Malaysia just start work today, and you already raise topic. While at the same time, this is just a registered mail. Not a PosLaju/Speedpost type of mail.

4) Departure from inward office of exchange - IIRC, this means no tax and release to Pos KLIA centre already.

5) What is happening now ? Today Pos Malaysia KLIA will pickup and start process. In some cases, Pos Malaysia will assign a different RR number than the one used in Japan. I've packages that change 3-4 RR numbers when it pass through several countries in transit, and only knows it when I see the stickers on the envelope after I receive it.

6) By tonight/tomorrow, it should start goto Pusat Mel in KL/PJ. Then it goes through the process of sorting. Then process of sending to other branches, which may take another day or two. Then sorting again to postman area, then wait postman MC/EL/etc. before start delivery. Remember, this is not PosLaju.

6) Wait a few more (1-7) working days, you will receive your parcels.

oh ok thank you! Sorry was a little too paranoid because it was my first time buying online, on eBay. And always heard that parcels reaching Malaysia always goes missing or stolen or something. XD plus i chose SAL, was afraid what happens if anything goes wrong with my books. T.T but thank you so much! Feel more relieved. XD

yup, same here.

rarely used post with tracking (especially from China since it's free shipping) from all over the world. i bought close to RM20k worth of hundreds of things from ebay.

100% delivery via pos msia. just have to wait, sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

My experience with POS malaysia is hit or miss.

But i think the problem is with the kastam.

Sometimes they clear your item very fast, but sometimes it took months.

So if my items not arriving , i suspect kastam must have forgot where they put in the warehouse.
