QUOTE(cfa28 @ Oct 30 2014, 06:01 PM) The CL given by any one Bank will be shared equally by all the CC issued by the same Bank Example, I apply for VS and is given say RM50K in CL I apply for the Ilhlawan and I will also be given RM50K CL but it does not mean that I can spend RM50K on both cards, thus incurring RM100K outstanding. The RM50K is to be shared between the 2-cards so long as max of RM50K is not breached by me in any combination spending. Did you know that for RHB conventional and Islamic credit cards, the credit limit is separated? I can confirm that because I have both.

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Jul 21 2015, 09:13 AM) I see many of you all opted to slash existing Maybank CL to improve the chances of applying for Ikhwan card. For those platinum card holders, do you all slashed like just RM3K-5K and they issue you a gold card instead since normally gold is with that CL or they will issue plat with a low CL? Of course I know the benefits is the same, just want to know what's the scenario only With a miserable credit limit of 2k, I only got gold card

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jul 21 2015, 09:46 AM) aiya, you should put more on ikhwan rather than mbb2cards ma. you sure use more petrol+grocery rather than dining right? Looking back the above posts, I believe you have your answer. But is there any difference between gold and plat that Im not aware of beside bragging rights and CL?

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jul 31 2015, 09:21 AM) They want to get the Ikhwan card for petrol and groceries rebate while not giving up on the 5% CB for Dining for M2C. Honestly, I rather cut the M2C and go fully to Ikhwan. Dining on weekends is hard to achieve and not many place accepts Amex. Your other spending goes to which card? If not can use Amex which can still earn you 5x TP.

QUOTE(akping_1 @ Aug 1 2015, 12:50 AM) My monthly expenses not that high on grocery, n drive motor petrol expenses not high as well. Unless you pay off your spending after you swiped, else it is kinda difficult for you to enjoy the 20 days free interest period with only RM1k limit.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 1 2015, 08:48 AM) That's not true. Pay when the time comes. Money can be deposited into place like maybank2 savers, ambank true savers. If time your transaction correctly, you can even put into FD. That way, you will earn additional interest rather than putting.money in normal saving account. This is what most of us, if not all, do basically. But in the case of RM1k limit, and let say your statement date is on the first day of every month, you will pay the statement balance on 21st correct? If so, your RM1k limit will be freed on that day (assuming you have used up all of it), what happens is you only have 10 days or so to maximize your rebate (2-4 days techincally speaking). This is what people with low CL will be facing, I know because I went through that as well.

Hey fruitie, I overlooked your post above. Yes that is what I meant exactly. With low CL, you need to free your limit occasionally.
