Yes man, like after so long. laugh.gif
On another hand, I do feel painful to split a bit of limit out. blush.gif
*
That's strange, mine are sharing the overall limit with my dual cards hmm.gif
But as long as you are keeping good payment record, when applying for temporary CL increase, you won't have problem with it thumbup.gif
Or another way is, be the Aspire member.

Nope, will not share. Probably both cards are having the same limit, hence you thought it is shared. It's an individual limit.
Er. My CL not my monthly income. sweat.gif
*
Well, rm1000 also enough for me icon_rolleyes.gif
As for CL, just joking, they have few criteria to set a CL, like my PBB's VS can get that amount are mainly because I settle the housing loan fast and never being late on any payments icon_rolleyes.gif

Wehooo today i got ikhwan cc and also my 1st cc. So newbie here. My first question, i tot cc can cash out some cash money, but how and how much i can owe from cc? 😁
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 15 2015, 06:09 PM)
Don't ever think of that.
Don't apply credit card for cash advance, that's the silliest thing you ever do with a credit card.

The interest is on daily basis.
*
There's ways to cash out your credit card without getting charged. Been doing this for the past 4 years.
Help people pay bills, sell groceries are the best method.
But if put the card to ATM to cash out, that's very bad doh.gif

Have you requested to split limit assuming if you have existing Maybank cards?
If no, can try to appeal and request for little credit limit or wait for few months and re-apply again. Ideally 6 months but can be slightly lesser.
If it's cash back the OK but if it's cash advance... sweat.gif
*
Well, my way is kill 2 birds in 1 stone.
Oh, my son likes to sit in the trolley when we do shopping, so now is 3 birds rclxms.gif

my fren told cash cc is low interest compare to personal interest. is it true or not?
because i want apply more cc from other banks
icon_question.gif

Well, your friend is right, using credit card and cash out from ATM's admin fee are cheaper than PL's interest rate if you pay in full before the statement due date.
Even if you don't pay in full, it is only 1.5% of interest a month on the outstanding balance. So what's the big deal whistling.gif

laugh.gif True.
Not true. No free lunch in this world, avoid all by all means.
If you continue to have this kind of urge, I'm afraid you will need to have a session with AKPK soon.
If you apply cards for cash advance, my advice to you, cancel it before you step into this black hole.
You can ask any of us here, we apply cards to maximize its benefits and cash back and I dare to say we pay in full and banks earn no interest from us. Credit cards are for convenience and benefits enjoyment, not by adding more and more burden to your financial.
*
Well, latest news that I read from thestar is 47% of the youngsters are having bad debts(CC or PL) and there's sign of increasing.
Most people never think on how this 1.5%/month will do until they reach age of 30 where they are getting married or buying a house.
AKPK, newspapers, online portals have such articles but yet some refuse to read and understand, rather than asking others to support having bad debts are right.
When dealing with such people, using the gentle way won't help doh.gif

Yup, that's right. Basically if we use rm1000 only, bank will incur some lost, but who cares thumbup.gif

Just keep in mind on this, credit card charges to merchants are only 1-4% but we are getting 5%, so as long as we spend on the dot to get max cash back, they are losing money. So is sooner or later they will revise the T&C, OCBC was the first, follow by dual card. So now the bloody question is, which is the next whistling.gif

for you maybe is ocbc first followed by m2cards. but actually stanchart, uob, hsbc, etc. all already revised the t&c.
*
WHat I mean is less T&C on getting cash back cards. Both of them I applied is because of this.
Other no doubt have cash back, but with T&C doh.gif

When you apply a card and get rejected, do review your current financial status.

I guess it's not really the case for Ikhwan, nobody knows how they evaluate and assess. On another hand, when I was rejected by them in my first application in April, subsequently my five cards from CIMB, HLB Mach, AmBank Plat, UOB VOX and HLB Wise were all approved at first attempt without being rejected by any of them. laugh.gif
*
Well, too many cards is 1 of the reason you get it rejected. This is what the officer said. But she says don't quote her since she will be in trouble.
You really dig out my issue with HSBC where I have a dormant account which caused me to "blacklisted" by them.

Well, those cards were approved after I got rejected by them. Anyway, that's not important to me anymore.

More important is the card is in our wallet thumbup.gif

QUOTE(fish_pg @ Oct 17 2015, 11:27 PM)
According to one of the agent here, if apply more than 3 cards around the same time the chances of one of those cards get rejected is higher.
*
All banks have a sort of "open" connection on basic rating, like how many cards a person are holding. That's why I said before just our IC number can do wonders(on knowing who are you) already.

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Oct 17 2015, 11:36 PM)
yes. total credit limit plays a factor. personally, I reduce my CL to only what I think is needed. better chance to apply other CC or loans in the future.
*
Not really need to reduce the CL, more important is your past records, relationship to that bank. Like my credit rating considered very good to Public Bank since I had a housing loan with them. And their VS are the first card in my life that gives rm100k of CL which I only spend rm834 shocking.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 17 2015, 11:54 PM)
As answered by alexanderclz. However, I love seeing high CL. laugh.gif
Wait till any of my applications is rejected, I will reduce others lo.

That said, for Ikhwan I guess this doesn't help...
*
It means nothing and if any fraud case happens, you will have trouble.

Ikhwan as primary card for petrol and groceries(assuming you only have MBB cards), AMEX keep for collecting TPs on other transactions.

either transfer it from mbb2cards or apply a NEW ikhwan card. cry.gif

Don't call CS, better go straight to your nearest bank branch and ask for it, preferably the branch you open your account.
