I tot we can from the CC printout  hmm.gif

this only applicable to aeon store and what shown on the receipt is not mcc but only the word smkt or dept. if it's smkt then you can safely assume that the mcc will be under grocery.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Sep 3 2015, 02:39 PM)
Something odd, BHP recent promo through LINE giving RM5 vouchers for petrol (minimum spend RM30), I've used it 2 times already. Since I'm kiamsiap, I only pump RM30 using that, the rest of my petrol I will pump using my normal Petron (yay Smiles card) right next door.

Thing is, I swiped the RM30 at their counter (obviously, since need to show the voucher), but based on my calculations I still got this 5% cashback for it. As I recall last time for OCBC Titanium etc. we will only get the petrol cashback based on MCC of the petrol pump, not on swipes at counter.

Anyone can confirm?
*
if you really kiamsiap, should try rm25+rm5 la to fully maximise it. i did that at few bhp before when i pay inside. brows.gif

you can pay at dispenser too, just pump rm30 first then only go inside to claim the rm5 voucher. so it becomes rm30+rm5.

ocbc tmc last time can get 5% for both at pump and at counter. so far only hlb wise can't use at counter.

been chatting with Sam's Groceria rep over FB about utility bill payment there...

1) Sam's accepts payment for Celcom, U Mobile, RedTone, Astro, and TM only.

2) About TM, Sam's have been accepting all TM bills, as long as the server is linked.

3) About TNB, right now Sam's have facing technical glitch with TNB billing system and as such, cannot accept this bill for payment. Only when TNB sort it, then they are good to go.

4) Sam's accepts payment using Credit Cards and Touch 'n Go cards.

5) About bringing hardcopy bill statement, NOT required. You can show the eBill and do ensure the account number is correct before you make the payment.
*
so can get sam membership points for bill payments too?

Earlier before I registered for membership, I will see on the receipt "points you have missed: xxx points".
It is a default line for its receipts unless you have membership card. smile.gif
*
QUOTE(David83 @ Sep 6 2015, 09:34 PM)
Tesco also got such line if you don't present your Clubcard.
*
although they have such lines, but not necessarily you will get the point even if you swipe your membership cards for the items which not qualified for points. they already blocked the barcodes beforehand for those unqualified items to prevent mistakes from their staffs.

That's not the case for Sam's. smile.gif
I can check my points from online, all are intact. biggrin.gif

ya, i mean they can block which items not qualified for points. so just in case the staff swipe your membership card, you still earn no points for the transaction for those goods involved.

My dad went to maybank branch to help collect cc for me, with an authorization letter from me. The bank mentioned that there is a new policy in which they don't allow 3rd party to help collect cc. Contrary to what maybank cc customer service mention, 3rd party can help collect and need to present authorization letter. Later I will phone up the bank and asked what actually happen.
*
how do you write the authorization letter?

Yupe I know, read that before signing up. What I'm trying to point out is that MBB should have registered the user's name properly and SMS accordingly laugh.gif
*
the card is islamic card and their promo to win umrah trip is what it supposed to be. if they blast separately for non-muslim with vacation trip, it already terpesong already.

it's more simple to adjust yourself. when you read umrah trip, it's a vacation trip for you.

Hey guys, I'm still bounded by BNM's rule of only having credit cards from two issuers since I earn <RM36k. Is Maybank and Maybank Islamic considered two separate issuers? Saw some of you successfully splitting your credit limit to share with MBB2 AMEX. Wondering if I could do the same.
*
it's separate. splitting cl is to increase the chance of getting approved for case with high dsr. but not for case of <rm36k max issuers.

1. Just to confirm, is Maybank Islamic considered as another institution compared to the conventional Maybank?
2. Take my case as an example, I own M2Cards and Ikhwan, does that mean I got these CC from 2 different issuers? Or it considered as from one issuer? hmm.gif
*
1) yes
2) 2 issuers
