Well, I understand there would be some drawbacks when it comes to affordable housing.

Just trying to gather as much information as I can before making the plunge.

Moreover, it will be my first home puchase if everything jadi. That's not too much to ask for a would be first time home buyer right?

Nope you are right to dig up as much info as possible on what is probably your biggest purchase to date. Don't let the sarcastic kopitiam uncles get you down. They might not understand how hard the average man on the street works for every dollar.

Lrt KJ line generally is extremely congested. Usually I wait for the 4 car trains and totally ignore the 2 cars.. If I'm not in a hurry that is. But you will get into the train at some point, don't worry... I never board at bangsar, but at pasar seni. Since its an interchange I guess it would be even more congested than Bsar.

Thank you for your understanding bro. You got my concern completely right. First it's gonna be few decades long commitment. Second, I'm considering few affordable projects as there are few that fit my preference (walking distance away from MRT/LRT), mainly Brickfields, Kuchai Lama and Kepong. I'd really hope I can make the right decision that I can live with for the next 35 years lol.

Brickfields is right in town, unlikely to go wrong... Kuchai is a nice prime suburb, are you talking about lily apt? Its nice to be connected to MRT. I am just not sure if the developer is ok, and if it has experience in high rise? Kepong idk not familiar at all.

You're correct on both counts. I'm referring to Lily Apartment in Kuchai Lama.

I love the relatively more peaceful site at Brickfields but there is barely anything erected on the site yet. And they are supposed to complete it by 2021, I'm worried there may be some delay on the delivery of the unit. And there isn't any restaurant within the vicinity.

I think I like the population demographic in Kuchai Lama more. A very bustling city and everything is within vicinity. Food, bank and etc. The only thing I'm uncomfortable with is that this developer seems inexperienced.

And I'm also looking at thriven global Rumawip project at kepong. I'm kinda like how thriven conduct themselves and the concept they bring to their project. But I heard the non-bumi lots have all been sold out and I'm unable to reach them to check (perhaps they are still on CNY leave).

not trying to be racist, but i think if you are chinese you will be happier in kuchai as an ownstayer, unless being very close to kl city is important. pr1ma is old administration initiative, surely will have issues, both legacy and current ones๐Ÿคฃ.

i actually nearly bought lily for my parents. but the worries about developer made me back off, especially as it seems more and more affordable housing yet to come, and in lucky circumstances able to get completed ones off lelong market too..

ah yes. btw bro it's not rumawip but it's under PR1MA.

I've visited the site and it's about 10 min walk away from LRT bangsar.

God willing, if the river of life project comes to fruition (unlikely considering the current gov doesn't seem too keen on it), I think they are gonna build a pavement along the river bank which will take about 15 min walking time to midvalley in the future.

besides mixing up rumawip and pr1ma... what is bangsar monorail?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜’

But there is a 10 year moratorium in which house cannot be transferred or sold.

Their thread here seems very lively though.
