Does anyone have reliable and honest aircond repairman they can recommend? I need one to come take a look at mine.

I suspect my aircond is not draining the water properly cos the wall around it is slightly damp. Also, I can't switch it on, not sure if aircond problem or remote. The remote not showing anything when I press Switch On.

Appreciate any help and thanks.

Just before you proceed further, did you :
change the remote's battery?
how long never service the air cond?
plastic filter got take out and clean or not?

Yes, I tested the aircond remote with batteries that worked in other remotes. The little screen is blank. But when I switched on the aircond main switch, I do hear a beeping sound from the aircond unit. i tried to look for the button in the aircond unit to see if I can manually switch it on to test but cannot find this button. I'm using LG aircond.

Actually the aircond has never been serviced since I bought it a few years ago. I hardly use it also, maybe on average about 20 days a year of usage. I do clean the filter about once a year.

hi all, my aircond remote mysteriously is alive again. I was able to turn on the aircond using the remote rclxms.gif I really don't know what happen. The battery was the same, I didn't put in a new set after posting here. I have tried so many times before to switch it on but couldn't and finally when I sought help here, the remote works again.

On another note, I suspect that the aircond water isn't draining. In the picture attached, you can see a patch of wet wall next to the aircond. This only became obvious when I tried to cover the area with putty filler as the paint was peeling off. The side of the aircond also felt damp. The wet patch isn't starting from the top of the wall so it couldn't be leakage from above.

Does anyone have any contacts for aircond contractor for me to call?

Did you consealed pipings?

If the contractor hack in not depth enough, from the wall water dripping is quite common.

Yes concealed piping made ready by developer, didn't ask any contractor to hack. Already stayed here more than 5 yrs now only got this problem.
