Guess Shawn Drover drumming style really fits a band that sounds like this. He's tight but pretty limited. Not a lot of groove. But it's good to see him and Broderick do their own stuff rather than just stuck as a hired guns.

Finally Broderick can make his own sound without restriction. Great song.

I also prefer the older Maiden stuff before Janick Gers joined except BNW which is a pretty good album but the rest I don't enjoy them much at all. I feel they just have lost it, not much inspiration anymore and the songs becoming more boring every time. I've actually skipped listening to their stuff since Dance of Death! As for favorites, it's rather difficult for me to pick between Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Somewhere In Time, and 7th Son, but I'm leaning slightly towards Number of the Beast or Piece of Mind because of Hallowed Be Thy Name and The Trooper.

If it sounds like their latest single just released, I'm not expecting much as that also sounds so boring. Anyway I will still have a quick listen after the album is out. I'm more anticipating Stryper new album actually, 2 songs already out and sounds pretty good much heavier and rockin' than this new Maiden song.

I am still keeping the faith. Hope it will be a good album. I will be extremely satisfied if it is as good as Brave New World

Fear of the Dark also is a good album!

Yeah, 7th Son is overall a very solid album, no weak songs at all in there.
Fear of the Dark though has several weak songs IMHO, probably due to the replacement of Adrian with Janick. It is surely not my favorite and the weakest album of the 1st Dickinson era but at least still much better than all the albums after BNW!

A review of the new Maiden, seems better than their last few albums since BNW.

Slayer and Scion have joined together to offer fans a free download of the song “You Against You.” The track, which is featured on the iconic group’s forthcoming album Repentless (out September 11 on Nuclear Blast), is available as a free download to the first 15,000 fans on ScionAV.com, starting September 4 at 10 am (Pacific Standard Time). “You Against You will also be available for streaming for those that miss out on the download. A limited run of 7-inch records for the single will be available this coming January.

The “You Against You” offer is part of a long-running relationship between Slayer and Scion AV. Last year, the two collaborated on the Scion x Slayer Mobile Amp tC, which premiered and was demoed at SEMA in Las Vegas. The group also participated in the Scion x Slayer Driven video series, which featured a visit to guitarist Kerry King’s Psychotic Exotics reptile house and herpetology nursery, vocalist/bassist Tom Araya checking out his custom bass from the ESP Guitar Company, and the two working on Repentless in the studio.
