has anyone experience battery level drop suddenly? when my Z1 battery reaches 30% all of the sudden it drops to 0% and phone totally dead (no battery juice @ all) is it something got to do with Battery Stats or need to bring to Sony Center?
*
Nowadays for the battery is better not to let it go down so low. Battery last longer that way. Use a powerbank to prevent it.

maybe im using too frequent underwater, the speaker adhesive glue looks not strong anymore, but still stick at the place, just if you push use your finger, the grill itself move lol

wow better go to service centre ask them to fix it back. and once they done it make sure you request that you test the waterproof in front of them before leaving.

This is the one part that I do not like about the magnetic cable. At least if it's not properly charging, the phone should not light up the charging indicator. Nowadays if I'm charging before I sleep, I'm gonna make sure it charges at least 1% after I put down the phone. Otherwise, my cable might not charge at all.

This is silly. How hard is it to accept for repairs? The most they have to do is send by courier right?

Anyway, you are out of luck. The nearest one is in Kota Bharu.

I got back my phone from Ixsun for a battery change. I run through a tap. Check through the lense entirely is cool too. Even took a picture after that, nothing happens. I guess if the phone gets heats up a bit the water vapor will form at the lense. Looks like the phone is no longer waterproof now.

Damn fedup. The quality of the technicians here sucks. Should I just give up off the waterproof feature or should I sent it back again. I have waited two weeks. Kinds of sucks if I have to wait it that long again.

So what do you guys think? Send it back or just like last time wait for the vapor to dry off and suck it up?

Just a share of experience on update to lolipop 5.0.2. After upgrade via OTA, the battery running like linear line, phone is easily heat until i take few shot of photo and camera is shutdown because overhear.

After factory reset, every thing so far so good. battery usage no more linear line. Phone temperature is back to normal. Able to take more than 10 shot without any issue.

Note: THe restore process is painful. I have backup using PC Companion from Sony. After the factory reset, I have try to restore all my application from PC Companion. Then only it prompts certain number of application data cannot be restore because the application is not installed.
Moral of story, although you have backup using PC companion, it does not backup all the application. You need to re-install the application from google play. Then only you can restore the data from the PC companion.

Yup I backup my whatsapp and just copy and paste the folder. However, it doesn't help and the whole chat history can't be backup. Sucks.

hmmm... i was tempted to upgrade to z3+ until i saw this...

http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/06/10/japan...of-heat-issues/

previously it was reported that Z3+/Z4 uses S810 v2.1 which should have solved the heating issue. but now seems like it did...

luckily my z1 still serving me well. with the new battery, i guess i can wait longer for a true worthy successor
*
I can't agree more. With the new battery is like a new lease of life. Plus quite a number of us have already change theirs, myself included. Z3+ is easy to skip. I will most likely be upgrading on the next one that comes along.

yes, overheat was an issue to me.
sometimes im afraid this phone might explode at my face while gaming lol
ooops doh.gif  i meant c4 for flapless usb port, so no need so much for magnetic charger smile.gif
but many complaint z4 tablet pricing very expensive.

and after 3 days leave my phone for battery replacement, finally can continue to full utilize back.  user posted image
charge for Rm150, but they forgot to replace my speaker grill lol.
nevermindlah because i doubt now my phone will waterproof or not. they cant guarantee also
*
it's good to know that you have replaced your battery. thumbup.gif

ya my phone also no more waterproof. I used to rinse my phone under a tap but now if i do that moisture will get into the lense whenever the phone heats up. so rinsing the phone under a tap is no more lol

hi guys,

just wondering which service center should I send in the Z1 for battery replacement (it expanded and pushed the back glass out) if I would like to collect it in the same day itself?

thanks!

Call SEMS Amcorp Mall to ask if they have stock. When they do, send in before 10am so you can get back your phone after lunch.

From what I have read so far, the next flagship phone from Sony is gonna be on Snapdragon 820, exciting new features and with a new design language. Bye bye to Omnibalance! How many of us will upgrade next year?

I'll wait and see how's the new design looks like first. Also hopefully it comes with much improved camera and the new processor doesn't overheat as in 810
*
Yeah, 810 overheating is really sad. From what I read, it overheats because it was on a reference core that is on Cortex A57. 820 will be on their own custom core nickname Kryo like how the previous was Krait.

There will be plenty of reviews before the phones out, which is great. Z3+ performing worst than Z3 means it is a definite skip. Waiting is great cause we definitely can as Z1 still performs great and we both just changed our batteries.... laugh.gif
