Just updated mine to lollipop. After the update feels that the phone lags and always hot... Battery draining like no tomorrow.  Plug in the charger and the phone was charging very slow. I had to switch off my phone to let it charge.

after charging the phone to about 50%, on the phone and straight do a factory reset. After the rest, everything is good. No more lah and everything is smooth. Phone no longer drain as much battery as before. Battery life so far seems the same to me as in kk.

So far this is what I think of the update:

Things I like:
- smooth ui. I think better than kk.
- notification at lock screen. I find this useful.
- double swipe for quick settings. I think this is easier to access with single hand

Things I don't like:
- huge icons! I think it's very ugly.

lifespan for any lithium ion cell is 1 year. Normally, if you can't get the desired battery life that's battery wear, which nothing you can do as lithium cells are subjected to wear and tear.
Also, if you often have a complete charge cycle (from 0-100%) it's very common that battery wear out faster. I used my z ultra for 1 year and 2 months and my battery degraded a little. It's because I normally charge my phone at 35-45%, rarely go beyond that percentage. I only do a complete charge cycle every month to maintain the battery for long term usage.

and about GPS, are you in a building?

have you tried with google maps or other navigation apps?

hmm... i am curious how ur phone drop. i dropped it quite a few times but it still ok. maybe my case is good enough to absorb the collision? 

I don't blame manufacturers or phones because it can't handle drops.
I only blame the physics when it comes to this.

You ought to be more careful or put a tougher casing...

by now i think only sony centre with old stocks. i have hard time finding one too previously. So i sold off my z1.

now my z1 2yrs old ++ already
no matter how careful im using it
now my usb flap suddenly cannot fit, longgar semacam saja
my back camera blurry- need to change camera module + back cover

but performance still tip top
and i will use it although z5 very tempting....

Yup, for some reason using Unifi is pretty darn slow via PC companion as well . Used my data instead and manage to download it in <5 min.
