It has been 3 years!!! Watching the sequel Line Walker: The Prelude 使徒行者2... which is not so sequel and also so similar to Infernal Affairs 无间道。
Plus, I think TVB should get someone else other than Pakho.

Don't be so typical, will ya? Regurgitate rubbish.
Those 1st line-ers are alive. And they will be back when needed. The talents have not gone. The talents have not suddenly vanish into thin air like magic. I'm have no problem without the so-called 1st line-ers in my series.
If the old doesn't go, the new doesn't come. It's just a cycle of life. Stop being so obsess with all this stupid shit.
Anyone who knows a thing or two about TVB should have known that some are on long term contract and some are on temporary contract or per show contract. So your point is invalid.
Kevin Cheng 郑嘉颖 , ppl used to call him TVB亲生仔 or TVB's birth son.
IMHO, small country with small population like HK is always lack of talents... 8 millions compared to Japan - 130 millions... 16 times... Japan has 16 times the probability of having more talents than HK. Common sense FTW.
That's why there are plenty of expats and new immigrants (born in China, moved to HK when they are 7 or something) in HK. You can tell from its showbiz, modeling, fashion show, etc. You would be surprised to find out their origins. Even Malaysian talents are there.
The problem with TVB is creativity. The behind the stage senior ppl are stupid, they're bad leaders.

I think Ron Ng will fit into the sequel nicely. The talents are there, but the paycheck is the tricky part. The China market and the cinema market are... better and has more freedom I guess?
William Chan 陈伟霆 is doing FREAKING GOOD in China. You can tell from his Weibo lol.

Ron Ng is a great actor but the problem is he's always acting in the same way. Instead of portraying the character, he's just being himself all the time which doesn't suit the theme of Line Walker.
It's great to see TVB collaborate with some movie actors to bring in some fresh faces. I still remember back in 2008-2012 I see the same actors and actresses in every drama makes me feel like I'm seeing the same thing over and over again. Remember the time when you see Tavia Yeung in almost every drama??
I find that the cast for Line Walker 2 is perfect with so many guest appearances. It brings something new other than the boring family drama stories.
The major problem with TVB is that they have those outdated senior writers with no creativity. You can't put in those rubbish scripts into modern drama and expect the drama to be a huge hit like those classics. It's just not the same anymore.

That's exactly my points!!! I've said that previously. And I said that far too many times already to the point that I no longer bother to mention those 老屎忽 aka oldfucks. They should get retired and enjoy their pensions. East Asian or Chinese and their seniority bs aka Confucianism (some Confucianism values are bad; keep the good ones) is getting very much redundant, including Joey Yung and Miriam Yeung in the music scene. EA core system is meritocracy tho.
It's good to see Jessica Hester Hsuan 宣萱 to come back. You guys would be pissing blood to see Myolie Wu or Fala Chen in every series. Really. That's why we have Jinny Ng and Joey Meng 萬綺雯 a year or 2 ago. FRESH FACES kinda. And ViuTV has far more of that than TVB. "Angel In-the-Making 實習天使" is one of those if you get my drift. The playing field has changed, and TVB has to adapt to it. Evolution ftw.
I like detective genre/theme... the recent one, "Nothing Special Force 雜警奇兵", has an eccentric detective. Love this kind of stuff.
Anyway, instead of repeating the same boring topic, we should just move on. I'm not saying to abandon TVB tho. We have more options these days... China TV series is doing good. I also watch some Jdrama too sometimes.
Sorry not sure if this is correct thread But anyone knows any website where can download the recently completed series "Line Walker"? With English subtitles if possible Thanks in advance
