Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore believes Arsenal are repeating history and relying too much on Chilean international Alexis Sanchez.

The summer signing has been in terrific form of late, after scoring four goals in five games during the month of October. Sanchez then netted twice against Burnley at the Emirates last week, while he grabbed one against Anderlecht during the week.

With Danny Welbeck not stealing the limelight and Olivier Giroud still ruled out, the Gunners look shy of goals without Sanchez’s contribution.

The Chilean, who has been nominated for the October Player of the Month, has fast become a key player for Arsene Wenger’s side, but Collymore sees a similar scenario to that in previous seasons with Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas
