QUOTE(kelvio @ Jan 28 2007, 08:32 PM) john u should know we dont compare or follow their style of bowling Yea much understood about your opinion. Thats why video cameras will help development lolwe create our own style, thats how we improve, morover remy ong is a hook bowler and ur a spinner so we cant compare. if u want to compare hook bowler u should compare from Norm Duke,Paker bohn III this guy have the best balance position of all the bowler and the smoothes release, and he can play any kind of ball, big hook, small hook , 10-10 shot. when i mention we create our own style dont mean we can simply fly here and there, why i say balance leg must be behind our body. its because it minimise the stress on the left knee and the full support should come from thigh not the knee, this is to prevent long term injuries. if u turn like the video u show in long run u will feel that ur knee have some sound if u stretch ur leg up and down, when thats happen it mean ur knee cap is wearing down and another advantage is u will hit ur target easily without forcing ur hand too much to hit the target and the force part,u may not realise that ur forcing but u can see that ur down swing is very fast, and that is a sign of forcing. it maybe because of ur bowling ball weight its too heavy im not correcting u but im just giving u openion. if can maybe u try to get some video from taiwanese player, study from them.people may not notice but i can tell u 1 thing, their player spinn the ball very smooth very gracefully but the impact is almost like a hook ball. Added on January 28, 2007, 8:41 pm 1 strike connecting 1 after another is counted as 30 if a only a strike is 20 no way u going to get 16 points for a strike unless u throw all the ball in the gutter but on the 10th frame the first shot is strike followed by 6 pins only can make 16 points Anyhow, i will see how i can do about the flow of the swing, ive been playing bowling often, so all approach are like...walking to me, so i dont actually notice it. So i might try to keep a conscious about it And taiwanese bowlers are smooth, their spinners...Tseng Su-Fen's amazing http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/k...lvin/vAppSF.htm |

ya i saw the web site b4, its a very good place to learn bowling for starters or for bowlers to improve their bowling skill.
but i dont recomend to follow them, because each individuals have different bones structure.so some bowlers are limited to do some thing, some can do more than that. like follow through swing, some can swing the arm up high but some only swing the arm till head level so this u need a coach to guide u to get the optimun level. it cant be teach by reading, for me i analysed the PBA bowlers how they get so much rev without using so much force.then i finally found out that the rev dont come from the arm its self it come from other part of the body.this i will keep secret just for my self,i only will teach if i stop bowling lol Added on January 29, 2007, 2:40 pm QUOTE(zahri @ Jan 29 2007, 01:31 AM) wow... knee cap injuries dont come just only from bowling maybe its from past injuries,im really feeling my knee cap wearing down already... and im not even a pro nor amatuer ... just beginner... some times u run too much also can have this problem.so when we play sport we try to minimise injuries so drink more milk,so when we are old we dont have much problem This post has been edited by kelvio: Jan 29 2007, 02:40 PM |

haha i think i know how to generate the rev through other parts of the body.
Come to think of it, it just needs practice and good guidance I tried bowling today, and i noticed that my legs dont actually fly out so left, haha..just so happen i was doing it on that video when i was conscious of what i wanted to do. Basic approach was right legs behind left leg, with my body going very low. This gives me ultimate stability. And as for the forcing part..err..that one...just my style of spinning lol I ought to try hook again, when chris batson was in charge, i was booted off the squad because he was mainly looking for players playing hook... |

hahaha ur under that guy b4 arr hahaha
ya now every state will only find hook bowlers and no more spin even spinner have to change to hook if thay 1 2 continue bowling in the program they do this is because hook bowlers have more advantage in bowling, and more thing to learn. i dont say spinner is not good, they are good in maintaning their score but hook bowlers is far better then them because of the pin carry. spinner is good in playing cari makan 1 day event, but in long run they cant match hook bowlers spinner is good in the 70's where reactive ball havent invented, but after the first reactive ball is invented all the spinner loose to hook bowlers not because spinner is no good is just because the hook bowlers have more advantage to get high game so now the pro's is trying to get ways even to get extra 1 more rotation on their ball. bowling we cant say we already on the top and no more place to improve,if any bowlers think that way they cant go far, to excell we have to keep improving even is just to get the extra 0.1% |

yea thats the reasoning that was given
Its not that i wouldn't want to change to hook style during his "reign" but i think mainly because i was also considering to stop, so i sorta not have the time to learn it up after i stopped There is no end to bowling. Unless you can say you average 280 or so, than maybe your at the top, but thats not even averaging 300 lol Bollocks me Anyways, wasn't too pleased under Batson's reign. A good hook player can easily outdo a spinner, but lets say if the hook player cannot adapt to the lane, i think spinner tend to do better due to its one way street thingy. Not to mention i like to see the ball go slow, hit the pins and let it all fly weeeeeee |
