i think we should talk about how the ball got cracked in the first place!

if the bowling alley machines did it, i'll get them to patch it up. or if it is so bad, then get them to replace it. it's ur right!

if ur ball got cracked coz it's rolling around in your car boot, then it's not supposed to be there! hehe. but seriously, don't leave ur ball in the car. the constant heating of the sun and cooling in the night will make the ball expand and shrink till it finally crack.

love ur ball.... treat with care. smile.gif

sure, that's the way it's supposed to be though not all alley are so willing to admit it's their fault.

pyramid no problem. they've patched my friends ball before. in summit, also quite ok.

once u notice the crack, tell the management straight away. tell them to check the lanes, probably some screw sticking up somewhere. n if the ball damaged bad, ask them to repair it.

i dont think the machine can make your ball crack, scratch can lar
if light scratch they dont do any thing if deep they will repair for you

but if go pyramid sure got problem ball got scratch 1, this is because the machine is old already, sure there some loose screw.

if a ball crack when u bowl this is the ball problem, this u should bring back the ball to the proshop and change a new 1,
i seen b4 few storm swift after playing few games the ball got hair line crack edi.
and i seen b4 1 whole big piece of the ball flies out from the ball lol

is it because of the oil from the lanes ?

the ball soaks in oil from the lanes..so, every time u throw the ball, the oil is being absorbed by the ball. that causes the ball to grip the lanes, hence making the ball hook.

to lengthen the life span of the ball, after every throw, u should wipe the ball with a cloth to remove the oil from the ball.

a ball that has soaked up alot of oil, will sweat the oil out when there is heat i.e a hot car bonet left out in the sun. it may seem good cause u get to remove the oil from the ball. but doing this may damage the ball cause it might be too hot in the bonet and maybe too long.

the proper way of doing it is to soak the ball in 55 degrees celcius water for about 20mins... after 20mins, take the ball out and wipe the excess oil with some toilet rolls or cloth..this way the ball won't rosak..

i used to do this when i was so rajin to do it.. but now lazy to do cos quite alot of hassle...lol tongue.gif

i've tried the soaking method in hot water n dishwasher added, but it wasn't so effective for me as throwing the ball into the oven. u need to control the heat n timing, but it's faster n all the oil just pours out! not sure how good this is internally on the ball, so i would still recommend the hot water soak.

Actually,

i have never had the oiling problem before.

But i have seen most of my fren's ball sweat oil a lot...

i wonder wether my balls are ok or not.

aren't they soaking any oil from the lanes...

erm... happy.gif
