Did you manage to have a look at the actual figure during the Midvalley Exhibtion? This one looks extremely tempting, but the price.... phew.... shocking.gif

Did you PO it? hmm.gif

Tempted... but I choose to invest in something more productive....3D printer to print my own HB and 4k monitors....

I went for the Mid Valley exhibit back in May. There was no 1/6 Hulkbuster there. Only the much larger (cannot fit through door) version
*
Oh, too bad. I was hoping whether anybody can tell me whether it looks as awesome as it does on the Youtube videos... drool.gif

I missed out on the Hulkbuster craze back then... and also the pre-orders. Darn it! Did you PO the darn HulkBuster, naith? brows.gif

at about 2,600 (likely to go up since our currency is dropping.. no doubt most pre-orders placed will not be able to maintain the pre-order price), there are bound to be some buyer's remorse.. just save up your money, and keep watching the forums for people to resell out their unit.. at a hopefully not too absurd price brows.gif

Yep, hopefully RM strengthens back soon next year...

I'm not too good at checking Hot Toys figures, so would prefer to get one direct from the shop rather than 2nd hand... but we'll see...

I bought only ONE Iron Man, the Mark42 and told myself that's it... but then felt this baby was too lonely by itself... laugh.gif

Nope. I already pre-ordered the 1/12 The Bat, so I'm focused on saving for that. More of a fan of the Dark Knight compared to Iron Man, though I do own the Mark 6...
*
Ah, I'm lucky I'm only addicted to Iron Man.

But the King Arts 1/9 Hulkbuster is also exceptional... Decisions... decisions... hmm.gif

Then there is the HT's HB. At the time shops were taking PO for around RM 2.8k, EXCLUDING GST. Take into account our weakening exchange rate, I think this may enter the RM 3k+ range by the time it arrives.

Even the 1/12 Bat Deluxe which I ordered from HT was already RM 2.2k when I first ordered it. I am a little worried how much it will cost by the time it arrives (GST + FOREX)

Thank you for sharing all your hard work and research, bro. thumbup.gif

Phew, it looks like this hobby will get pretty expensive. I'm actually tempted to buy but trying my best to put this urge off... The one thing that's stopping me is:

1. Hulkbuster MkII - Thanos Buster
2. Hulkbuster Hot Toys die cast

I know, that might not happen until some time to come, but I keep telling myself that to avoid buying the Hot Toys HB laugh.gif

Congratz bro! Any idea how and where you're going to display it? The HB is HUGE from the Youtube videos... biggrin.gif

I wonder whether they'll ever make a diecast out of it one day... phew, would be nice.

I'll make sure I get HulkBuster Mark II to fight yours one day... maybe in 2020 tongue.gif

No idea about that, buy 1st, think later  sweat.gif

Why you not going to pre order the hb?
*
The HB can take up a coffee table all by itself liao laugh.gif Even a 'box' in my bookshelf also cannot fit, it's too big. blink.gif

I want to pre-order HB bro but all the KL toy shop closed PO liao! doh.gif

I forgot all about the Hot Toys craze until I felt my Mark 42 was quite lonely by itself, so I googled to see what other 'companion' and saw the HB... But too late, all PO close already... sad.gif Don't know why PO always close so fast in KL one.

Box is another big problem for me as well I think rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
Yup maybe all people are crazy after the movie, I rmb the po still open for some time before the movie, when in suddenly all close po after the movie show.

But if you are interest, FYI Toypanic at Penang are still accept the po, but the price is rm2.8k, just go to their website and search for it  cool2.gif
*
Ya, I know. But that one cannot inspect... and I don't want the courier guys to chuck the huge box here and there, later damaged liao...

Well, when it comes, please post some pretty pictures here, ok. Especially with the Arc Reactors ON... wo hoo... but I don't know whether your parents, siblings or gf will rclxub.gif on how much you spent on a toy... laugh.gif

Shops will need to set dateline so that they can submit their orders to HT. That way HT will be able to gauge (I think) roughly how many units the need to produce to meet the demand.

Not to mention given the price per unit for the HB, not many shops will bring in extra units (unless they can afford it) because it would take up real estate in their shops/warehouses.
*
Sigh... you're right, but overseas they still have the thing PO. Maybe cos' of their higher margins, I guess... Ah, I always miss the boat when it comes to PO, Iron Man. Guess it's fated... hmm.gif

Hi,

I also PO the HT hulkbuster. I thought when we pre order the item it mean we "lock" the price already. We still pay the same price when pre order (as agreed) even by then the exchange rate of RM is lower? the shop can't ask us to top up due to the different of exchange rate. Correct me if i'm wrong.
*
Great question. It depends on Hot Toys, I guess...

That's a great question and i don't have a correct answer, but just to share my recently experience, I just collect my mark III and same with my friend, but we are from different shop

For me, The PO price was RM868 and that time the GST still haven't implement, i deposit RM300, when the time i collect, i just top up RM568.

but for my friend, when he collect, the shop was request for the balance plus the GST.  sweat.gif

As I know all the PO before 1st of April should not charged for GST right?  rclxub.gif
*
If the goods are received AFTER 1st April, even though PO already, GST should be charged. You may have bought from a smaller toy shop, so they're under RM500K p.a. sales, so you're lucky didn't get hit with GST. smile.gif

Toys used to have 10% tax right?

Now just 6% gst. Should be cheaper IF our forex rate is better
*
I don't think so. I don't see any sales tax on the receipt in the past. You could double-check on this.
