Well, too expensive, price hike  ..... and ringgit value dropping by 30%, plays a part...

Expensive and somewhat overpriced. I think with the shrinking RM and GST, everyone's wallets has shrunk and these figures have become more of a luxury item. cry.gif

Imagine if you are trying to collect the star wars series from hot toys.... say each RM800, around 20 figures...... ehm...ehm

My interest only limited to Iron Man but even then.... so many suits. I just have one....

Wanted to get the Hulkbuster but after watching Avengers: Age of Ultron, I think the Hulkbuster was such a let-down. They didn't even show Tony suiting up into the Hulkbuster.

Still think Iron Man 1 was the best Iron Man movie. When he first suited up the Gantry, it gave me the chills.... drool.gif

Need to find other hobby and collecting already....

Gosh! Do you really have a lot of space for the figures? I usually collect books instead... laugh.gif
One thing I don't like is that some of the figures tend to deteriorate over time. Not sure if it's the weather or what, but kinda sad, figures are not cheap and then after a few years, got damage... doh.gif

But seems like I play a lot more with my Iron Man figure than the books... Like the diecast material on my Mark 42 though, nice and cool to hold... tongue.gif

Books take up more space when you lose count of them, they don't look like taking lots of space on the cabinet until you put them in boxes one day.

Also Books are harder to maintain since they will turn brown & humidity can destroy them without chance of getting repaired. I always wrap up my books. Problem is once you do that you rarely gonna take them out & read.
*
Yeah, our weather sucks for books as compared to the West. Some of the used books I got from overseas still look pretty brand new as compared to some 'new' books I have. It also depends on the book, if mass paperback they don't last all...

For the Hot Toys figures, I think getting at maximum 3 is good enough. Getting too many is probably a bit overindulgent and you don't really appreciate them as much once it gets overcrowded...

Still looking for a villain to keep my MK42 company though.... laugh.gif

Weak ringgit vs USD is one reason. But these aren't even the prototype pictures. Apart from the Battle Damaged gimmick, what major difference is there from the earlier diecast War Machine? I thought the original diecast War Machine had very good reviews and was as good as could be.

Maybe BeastX can share his expertise.... hmm.gif

The first WM was plastic... the major difference... apart of the BD parts, is the sides of the (lower) legs slides down, for when it takes off...

The first WM also has very fragile torso connection....

I'm pretty sure there was a diecast War Machine. It was the first one of all the die cast version, right? Mark 42 was the second die cast figure to be released?

Ah, the FB link was just what I was looking for... thanks geelim77!

War Machine Mk. 2 (version 1) for IM3..... War Machine Mk. 2 (version 2) for A2:AOU... both Die-cast...

Ah yes... was thinking the difference between these 2 and the newly one up for pre-order. Doesn't look that much different to me, maybe slightly bigger and imposing.

I'm surprised they're just showing off boxed picture for pre-order... looks sloppy. Not even a prototype? sweat.gif

Toypanic open up loads of pre order for old Hot Toys stuff.  Hot Toys mau clear stock?  Good chance if you miss out on any previous stuff.

Thanks for the tip.

What's happening with the aftermarket sales price for HT Iron Man? Prices seem crazy for some models. Last time, I can still get second hand figures for some slight markup over retail price. Now, it's like 100% of retail price for some models like MK 46 and 47 and HB.

Really worth so much or just scalpers all the way? Weird. sweat.gif
