The blind optimism that everything will revert to 2010 is worrying. The primary tenant market - expats, MM2H has been sorely impacted and it will be a while before it reverts to normal not to mention all the incoming supply to depress prices. Local affluent people do not rent. You might be seeing continual losses if not vacancies for up to 5 years.This is not to mention more worrying publicity like Malaysia being seen as a failed state nor the insular nature of many countries to revive their economies. |
