hi,

did note 4 got built in fm radion?

thx.

No.

Not aware if ANY current phones have a built in FM radio.

Easily solved if you buy a Jabra Tag which has FM.

That's what has been *said*

Nobody really knows if Samsung will provide an allocation or not.

Jabra tag huh
I simply hate how modern phones have no FM radio except a few select models.
But what i miss the most is FM transmitter. Old symbian phones had it. My car doesnt have bluetooth to get the music stream from my phone. And i hate raping the USB port with a pendrive.
*
Symbian power and resource usage is probably way lower than Android, so they could afford to put another transmitter in addition to the GSM radio.

Which other current phones have an FM receiver?

Hi Joy, any place we can try it out physically?
*
Jabra Tag is like an army dogtag. Loops around your neck. Some may like it, some may not.

I chose it because it can pair 2 phones, and I like the form factor.

It also accepts normal 3.5mm jack headphones if you're not happy with the stock ones.

FM is a bonus which I rarely use.

You can go around LYP or Digital Mall and see if they have demo units available.

I think Harvey Norman in Nu Sentral may have a demo set.

Install Galaxy Charging Current by abmantis.

You will be able to see the current draw. I installed the latest version and it seems quite confusing, but it gives you an idea of the current draw.

Max should show you around 1800.

Now trying to get a new case that covers that area
*
Sigh....people don't want to listen....

Nilkin Frosted Shield is NOT a case. It is a back cover. As long as the top and bottom are exposed, the risk is always higher for any mishap to happen to your device.

However careful anyone is, there is always a risk of damage. Even with a full body case, there is a risk but it is mitigated better.

haha... if want fully armored then just get the otterbox but risk having a phone as big as a tai kor tai
*
I don't see a problem with a 15mm thick device.

Taikortai is 30mm or more.

Cables can actually degrade. Sometimes they degrade within 6 months, whatever the brand.

Just buy a good cheap cable. Seller brotan used to sell you can check with him. He uses GCC to test the cables before selling.

I experienced this phone heating up and battery dying fast for a few days.

Tracked it down to this IndexService which seems to be trying to index my sdcard.

Reformatted the card in the phone and restored all files. Observed that it was still running. Had to manually force stop it a few times. Now it seems ok and battery is no longer dropping fast.

Tested the card a few times on the PC but it shows no error....well I have backups.

This normally happens if the sd card is malfunctioning soon whereby your phone is trying very hard to read it and always end up error and repeat. Time to change the card
*
Yup guess so. Luckily I have a spare.

Just want to inform regarding the display.

For most situations, I can't tell the difference between FHD and 2K.
However I saw a post on G+ from a Thai guy, and his user name was in Thai script.

Between my home 24" monitor at 1900x1200, the Note 3 at FHD and the Note 4 at 2K, you can see that the fine details of Thai script is best displayed on 2K. The little end serifs and loops are very distinct on 2K.

It should be the same for small Chinese fonts.
