5 to 6 hours SOT?
My two friends using note 4 only claim to have max 4 hrs (without gaming).
My friend claimed even his previous HTC M8 score better.
He got 4 hrs of SOT (100% LTE)
Constant 60% brightness with full syncing.
*
As said just initial observations. Haven't really test . But some users had reported here 5-6 hours achievable. 4 hours is indeed too low. Example I last captured at 35% battery usage recorded 2 hours SOT. Projected to empty will be 5.7 hours. My random check showed quite consistent at this range
My usage usually on internet stuffs mainly on 3g
Wifi /3g on 24/7 n sync is on. Only location is off. Brightness average 50%

Same la.
iPhone 6+ bends but Note 4 has serious gap issue that a credit card can be inserted
*
Seriously can insert credit card ?? Piece of paper I had seen on some videos. Anyway my set is Ok n cannot even insert a piece of paper. This gap issue already existed since Note till Note3. Stale news blownup by some guys to attract attention.
Iphone 6+ is another exaggerated blownup issue. Who will ever go n bend his phone in that manner as posted. Yes I agree there is a weak point at vol buttons area. However putting a back case would had solve such a problem for those worried about such stuffs

hey guys... just wondering whether there's root for now that doesnt trip knox? been searching all over the net, but couldn't find any... dont wanna void my warranty when i get my note 4....
*
As of now all root methods will trip Knox
Just don't root if knox tripping worries you
As said before many Note3 users had successfully claim warranty with knox tripped. I am one of them
So far I heard only one user fail to claim. Is a 50/50 chance I would say.

Having used the ip6+ one thing I must say the ip6+ battery life is insanely good. I am using it as my main phone now n will be so for another 2 weeks. Is my first serious test using the iphone as my main daily driver. There is no SOT measure for iphone yet but battery usage say at 50% it shows me 6 hours. Well I must say this 6 hours is close to my actual usage which at worse is probably an hour less. But even so is still very good. This ip6+ battery usage is obviously better than Note4 .

All depends on luck when claim warranty. They will blacklist your phone in their system if the guy not helpful and closing one eye. I would play safe not to trigger knox now.
*
I am not concerned about warranty
After checking all hardware is working well I rooted the phone after an hour I got it
The benefits of rooting simply outweigh warranty issues
Anyway is true if one is concerned about warranty don't root

My Antutu average scores over few tests ranges from 46k to 48k.
I am not too concerned about comparing such benchmark values as each of us will score differently.
I only use this phone average 2-3 hours a day and must say it perform very well. I had yet to face any sudden freezes, hung n unexplained reboot.
I don't play any games on it and will not appreciate n able to assess its gaming powers.
I did a factory reset when I got the phone , rooted it an hour later and restore all my app from ex LG G Pro2 titanium backup. Restoration was very fast n went through with zero problems.

Activated it last night. 80Mb file...I got 39Mbps merged speed. I suppose it must be a good thing.
*
That is to boost download speeds on both WiFi n 3g right? Had not tested it yet. But will try it out

did u all rooted to get such high sot??
*
Rooting alone will not help in SOT. It is what one does after root that will help
Example mine : I rooted mine n installed Xposed mod cum greenify pro n intelli3g : these alone reduced battery drain on phone standby mode with 3g/wifi on. The drop hardly exceed 2% over 7-8 hours. Normal standby is basically around zero % drain
I haven't really test my phone on battery usage but initial records indicate 5-6 hours SOT achievable
On my ex LG G Pro 2 I consistently record 7-8 hours SOT while majority users are with 5+ hours

If your phone will often get into your kids hands than you had better put on a SP. As for me I had never believe in using SP but my phone always protected with full flip case. The chance of sand particles getting into display is remote. And in my past 7 years using without SP my gadgets is as pristine as day one

The painted metal sides of the phone is a bad idea as paintwork easily prone to scratches. Why can't Samsung just leave it bare. Seriously you can't even see it as metal build

I heard that Note4 in Malaysia got 2 types of specs.

1 using Exynos chip, the other specs using Snapdragon805 chip.

Correct ?
*
Malaysia original sets are all Exynos. If you can find SD are all grey market AP sets
Spore is solely SD sets
Many users here previously high on SD are now very happy users of Exynos. Personally it doesn't matter to me as I rarely flash rom these days
Anyway most tech reviews points to Exynos being a more efficient and more powerful processor vs SD.

hmm.gif okay, but does it mean that the app is useless if my phone is not rooted ?

Without root, all system apps or most of Samsung app cannot be hibernated with the free version of Greenify
If you are serious to hibernate your apps , get the Pro version and it costs only US$2.99
With it I had successfully hibernate most of the Samsung apps I don't use and most of Google apps too that I rarely need to use. Most of the Google system apps you need to install xpose mod and have the system apps enable to be greenify in its experimental menu. Any of those app I had hibernated I can easily load it back up
And don't worry too much over about battery usage on hibernating and loading back up those apps - it is insignificant I'd say

Hello Benny,

Mind sharing what are those google system apps you need to install xpose mod and have the system apps enable to be greenify in its experimental menu?
Thank you.
*
You just need root to install xposed mod ; nothing to do with any system app
Once you had installed xposed mod, select greenify pro as one of its mod and you can hibernate most of the system apps. Just hibernate those which you do not wish to see in background. You can use wakelock detector to see such apps being in background. You will get a warning not to hibernate such system app - just ignore it
