anyone knows where i can set the default install memory to sd card? i can't find it in the settings...
*
Kitkat doesn't allow install of app onto ext sdcard. Some very old apps however can still be installed onto ext sdcard
Some phones some Lenovo, most newer Huawei has overwritten Google restriction n allow ext sdcard as default internal memory but a small core portion of the app still goes into internal memory
I am not having the Note4 with me now ( out for breakfast) but you can check settings /app n see whether the app you wish to move over has such option to force move to ext sdcard. I could do that on my previous Oppo Find 7. I needed to do that on Find7 as it restricts only 3gb out of its 32gb for app install
The Note4 has full 32gb access to install app. It is definitely enough for most users. Unless you install a lot of games whose data goes into internal memory than 32gb or even 64gb will be insufficient. There are ways to move games data to ext sdcard - just Google for solutions but I believe all such actions need root

I've been using note 3 and now note 4 and I carry with me lots of Udemy on line courses. 32gig is simply not sufficient. I hope they will let us to install/use SD in lollipop..

These Udemy stuffs cannot be copied over to ext sdcard? Most such app it's data will usually be kept on ext sdcard by default. isn't there such option in its internal settings

I have to uninstall the app and re-install again to get it work. any idea??

My phone on standby about 4 hours. Battery drop 2%. Hadn't really tweak the phone yet. Both wifi n 3g is on.
Initial drop is due to restarting phone

Attached Image

I had previously observed overnight drop hardly exceed 3% over 7 hours
I am just basically using greenify pro n intelli3g to control battery drain on standby
Very simple tools.
Yes is true my other ip6+ hardly drain battery even overnight over 7-8 hours. Battery level stays unchanged. The ip6+ battery life is way much better vs this Note4. No need to use any tweaks

hey guys, i just wanna ask regarding how you guys manage your memory. since now it's kitkat 4.4.4 and you have 32g internal memory. so all your apps you save inside the internal memory only? then what do you use with the external sd card? just save songs, and movies using pc?
*
I use ext sdcard mainly for video, audio, ebook, my data files, pdf etc. 32gb more than enough for me n still has 20gb space left. Notice some app auto installed on ext sdcard too but not many

how do you manage your files in your ext sd card? since now that kitkat 4.4.4 doesn't allow 3rd party apps to write to ext sd card. You use the default my files all the way thru? But still can't edit any documents in ext sd card right?
*
I have zero problems as I rooted phone n use Nextappsdfix. Never like file manager n use usually solid Explorer or Astro file manager. All 3rd party file manager app no problem editing files on ext sdcard
One of great advantages of rooting phone

Those worried about not receiving ewarranty response from Samsung need not be concerned about this
As long as you had the purchased receipt is more than sufficient to claim warranty
Ewarranty is just an additional step as part of Samsung after sales services
Insist on your seller to register warranty if you doubt your set is not Msian original. In this way Samsung response is your guarantee. It just takes a few minutes usually to get Samsung SMS response once a SMS from seller is sent. Few days later you will get a call from Samsung

uncle benny, can share your recipe of apps to greenify in your list for reference? thx. tongue.gif
*
Most of Google app : google+, playstore, Gmail, search, calendar, Play newsstands, Play music, etc etc
Basically I just hibernate any I don't need it to be in background plus a long list of app too
There is no secret recipe. It is solely your choice
Loading back any hibernated app is instant n I don't need them in background
I disabled only SHEALTH as find it irritating w all its prompt warnings n I don't use it at all
Only my frequently used app I don't hibernate eg boat browser, plume, Facebook, maildroid, flip board, feedly, Whatsapp plus few others
Each user need is different from one another
