Some background
Well i sold my spare u2713hm n u2913wm
N now both gaming rig is using asus swift. My work rig is using lg 34um95. Planning to change this to Dell u3415wm curved.

that particular dell u27 is really so so in color reproduction n its a ah-ips. Gaming actually the more expensive u2713h is better on input lag n then some.

The swift is only good for gaming, moderate desktop use. I wouldnt recommend buying this if ure intending for some heavy long staring at the monitor work. It gives me a headache everytime. The u2713hm lacks many features that the u2713h has but odd reason the u2913wm has it.

Gaming on swift bliss bro. No tearing. Clearer textures during movement. Its like wtf u have been gaming before this. Best way to describe this is like buying ssd.

Gaming at 1440p with gsync. As u know dual gpu is going to be needed n 2xgtx970/980 is the best bet with the former actually better interms of value as long the game supports sli. Alot of games nowadays has a fps cap. So if sli gtx980 is working technically overkill but when the games doesnt support sli.. That single gtx980 is whats needed.

Hmm color reproduction to me looks the same. The issue is the desktop sharpness. Some icons look washedout n text are blacks are all odd. Not sure its a viewing angle etc.

Also swift has no scaler so u need to set up ure gpu as scaler with 1:1 pixel. So no fullscreen for lower res as it looks odd. Ppl dont realize 144hz is a overclocked hz. Asus had to find a 8bit 1440p tn panel n oc to 144hz.

gaming experience on this is just pure bliss.

Freesync. It wont be as easy as amd thinks. Nvidia has one of the best software teams in the world. Y gsync is expensive because they used fpga instead if creating a mass asic for the gsync module. They really put a lot of thought into this. Gsync can become cheaper if nvidia did mass asics.

Freesync is dp1.2a with extension blah blah etc. The scaler/input modules will be done if i am not mistaken by realtek, novatek, Mstar etc. My issue is the extra driver requirement to make this work.

Dont think things will be as easy as they thought. Dp1.3 has no such spec for freesync hence y nvidia is not supporting a dp extension unless it becomes a dp 1.3 spec.

Well if u want u can try it at my place end of the month. In the midst of shifting but still in kajang. Just waiting for carpenters to finish installing all the furnitures

on a side note
btw lol just tried czone postage/delivery. bought two asus ac87u from them. They used a delivery company called public something. the guy came with a motor from czone and delivered to me. not bad man. doubt they will use it for this monitor. Its crazy big box. It comes preinstalled with the stand.

Yeah n if u noticed in ocn alot of amd users cant run 144hz on the swift. Only 120hz. Amd kept saying cable etc n now said has to be 1m only for it to work.

That it self is a big question mark on r9 290x freesync capability based on its builtin scaler. Since swift has none.
