Reset settings only didn't work? iOS can reset settings only.

I tried reset settings n network settings too before resetting whole phone including content.
A strange bug for me as apparently no one else is facing it. Probably I guess is the SMS data was majority imported over from Android?

apple already selling 6+ casing ??? my 6+ still naked now  rclxub.gif

On day one I bought a temporary plastic like back case to protect the camera rim. It is cheap about rm15. Few days back found a fake leather flip case for rm30. Despite its cheap price the build quality is not bad and it's light gold edges n back piece adds a bit of classy look
Anyway this will be the temporary cases until I could find better quality ones. Will be in Spore mid Nov and will look this up there. Was at Lowyat this Tue n can hardly find much choices
I would had get it from EBay if I was unable to find any locally

It will never happen to me as my phone is always in a case
Something to be aware if you pocket a naked phone inside your blue jeans

Reminds me of the scene in "Hangover" where Alan was carrying his "satchel" and the other guys were calling it a "man purse" tongue.gif
I haven't received anything to date.

Question for those using the 6 Plus especially, any one using any 3rd Party keyboards? Does it have an extra row of numbers on top of the alphabets? I'm going to miss that from my Note 2 days. Already feeling it since I'm back to using iPhone 4 now.

Maybe the next update would have a new keyboard layout. No point having a "taller" screen but not making use of it by adding an additional row for numbers methinks hmm.gif

I m using SwiftKey as alternative to Apple Keyboard on my ip6+. It doesn't has any number row on top

Forumer chaisin : 1000 apps on your iphone ??? How often do you use these 1000 apps . Even my 80+ apps, I already consider too much and I rarely used most of them !!
I would think it is all these 1000 apps is affecting your phone performance as probably many of them are not fully compatible yet with IOS 8.1
I am using ip6+ 64GB and doesn't faced all the issues you had listed

Once a while I faced the rotation bug too in 8.1. Phone will open in landscape mode n at times unable to switch it to portrait mode. I needed than to press home button n it than goes back to portrait mode
Is definitely a bug but I considered it a minor issue

The only aspect of the ip6+ ( 64gb) that impress me its is insanely great battery life, I had been using it as my main phone past 8 days. I had put aside my Androids just to test it fully
Functionality wise it can never match any of my previous Androids - eg LG G Pro2, Oppo Find 7, and current Note4
iPhone smoothness - i find previous ip5 is still has an edge of it. My ip6+ on 8.02 was slightly laggy but this had improved on 8.1
Apps incompatibility with the bigger display is still there but I believe is only a minor issue as most developers would had upgraded their apps over time. Many users complain about Whatsapp but I am perfectly comfortable with its font sizing

Just curious about "Functionality" that you mentioned. Could you please elaborate more about this? Thanks!
*
Examples :
- file access n file sharing out to n fro from external thumb drives n ext sdcard. You need iTunes to manage files on phones. Versatility n flexibility loses greatly to Android OS. Jailbreak improve this slightly n not a complete solution as tested before with ip5
- sharing of info is very limited from browser, newsreader, Facebook n Tweeter. IOS 8.1 only some minor improvement only
- email cannot attach other file types eg zip, pdf, office files besides photo n video. Backdoor way is unproductive especially if you need attach multi attachment
- checking image size n properties not possible from photo app. I need to use another app just for that
These are some common iOS issues that affects my personal usage. Those who don't need these will even be unaware of such iOS disadvantages
There are several more functionality issues which I am not going to mentioned as is minor. The above are major ones that affects my usage of the phone

All the major points that you highlighted seem limitation fact to the current version of iOS. But personally, I rarely use or rely one of the mentioned functions. It might be important for someone, especially for those use phone as business purpose or photographers that require a lot of editing, sharing and moving photos. Furthermore, new Android Lolipop look much powerful while it release to others android phone sooner...
*
Not limited to present IOS. It has always been so since first IOS. However sharing has improved slightly though still limited in iOS 8. Is true many users don't need such stuffs but for those who need it regularly the iPhone is at a disadvantage

That means i can charge with 6plus with ipad charger?

But last time since 3gs also can ma.

I had yet to even touch the original phone charger.
I had been using my iPad 2.1A charger since day one on my ip6+. I used the same charger on my other Androids too without any problems

Ya, if you are still working with thumb drive and SD card, it will be a hassle plugging in to iTunes for transfer. For me, most of my stuffs transferred and backup via cloud like iCloud Drive, Dropbox and Box. With Airdrop and iCloud Drive, it's fast and convenient transferring any kind of files between your phone and mac.

As with most thing Apple where they seldom throw in every kitchen sink features into the OS, the rich app ecosystems can make up for the missing features especially with iOS 8's extensions, share sheets and iCloud Drive API, which is a huge thing that most top tier developers are currently working their ass off building apps for it, just need more time. We can see this in some app already like great utility apps like Transmit for iOS.

If you have been following iOS developments news, you'll know there are plenty of this really neat and interesting apps in the work. In a year from now, there will be a merging of single universal design for iPhone and iPad.. ie. Ipad type apps running on 6+ model with landscape split view for example. The only problem now is the waiting part for developers to release these apps but very soon. Great time ahead.
*
All these iCloud n Dropbox not practical for me due to lousy wifi download ( average 3mbps) n 3g only 1-3mbps with no LTE at my place. Sharing files with friends n business associates is convenient thro thumb drives
Unlike most of u city folks high download speeds is only a dream here
And I am not a stranger to IOS having used all iphone till ip5 ( skip only ip5s) n all iPad series ( except iPad Air). I do know what is IOS n it's capabilities. As for future development as stated by you we still need to wait for it

File access to ext sd card. Greatly killed by Kitkat. Only updated apps which reserve a specific folder in the sd card can now save to sd. And u know how lousy play store updates are.
Share to other apps is the only major feature I mostly miss. I can no longer share some article directly to a fb private group in ios.
Other than that, more benefit going back to ios. Os update minimal and the waiting for updates sucks, if any update is coming.
*
Nextappsdfix app fix these ext sdcard issues on Kitkat.
Plat store update lousy? Don't think so as I had been using Android past 7 years with iPhone thrown in between. This has never been an issue with me. Had no problem w Android app either. Maybe iphone games app more superior but than I don't play games on my gadgets
Anyway I am just pointing out functionality of iOS is limited n not saying iOS is worse than Android. Each has its pro n con. Just stick w that meets your needs best. I am using both IOS ( ip6+) n Android now.

H+ is Not 4g/LTE. Is only higher variation of 3g
When I am in KL I will see LTE on top of task bar on my ip6+. I am on Maxis postpaid. No idea whether it will be 4g or LTE on Digi

No big deal as I always root my Android
Warranty is of no concern to me
And in past 7 years of using Android only few occasions claim warranty n even with root I could claim successfully without problems

It could be USA CDMA version. Such set doesn't use any simcard ( like what we had here). These are tied down to telco n telco info embedded into phone. This is my understanding of CDMA sets but hadn't seen any USA CDMA sets yet
CDMA sets are locked to telco that sell it n I understand you cannot switch telco too.
CDMA networks not supported in M'sia n many other Asian countries too
