Has Apple ever practiced launching in a country not even listed in their announcement?
Grey market sellers recently drop prices but now went back up again. It would be another round of price adjustment if this Nov launch is true
Anyway happy waiting for it
I am looking forward to ios8.1 tomorrow n hope some of the minor bugs will be resolved on my ip6+.

I already my one and only one smartphone, quite satisfied with it until i see iphone 6/6+.. lol.. how was it.. ? anyone hands on already ?
if possible, I'm thinking to get one more smartphone for business purposes. It would be good if the phone has good camera and really good processors.
*
BUSINESS purposes ? Do you need to email a lot with attachments ? The iphone mail only allow attachments of photos n video only. For other files eg zip, office files ( doc, excel, pages, numeral), PDF etc you cannot do it in the mail app. There is a Backdoor n inefficient n unproductive way to do it using another app that can read the file n share it through mail. For multiple attachments use say a paid app multi attachment. So prepare these file attachments first before starting a mail. All this is because of Apple closed file system
Some app eg Adobe reader doesn't has option to share pdf files over to mail n for that I needed to use another PDF reader. And this alternative reader cannot access pdf files copied over to adobe. I would need another copy over through itunes or download from dropbox or icloud.
So generally for mail I will use my Android phone which is easier n more productive

Well this is true, the native mail app only allows photos and video to be inserted. You can switch to android and buy a new phone to use those function, or... buy office apps which have way better features than the native app.

Let me say something on the speed of this thing, not really referring to anyone: all those comments about it being laggier than note 4, or not as smooth really is very subjective. You don't need to fully accept what everyone says yea? Because perception of speed can mean so many different things on so many levels.

It's really like two owners comparing their ferrari enzo with their koenigsegg, while some others are perfectly happy with either car because both are f***ing fast while the rest are just riding on BMWs and Mercedes... We'd be glad to have either one anyway. Like "oh, the ferrari need to slow down more on corners, so it's overall slower than the koenig!" "No you idiot! It's 0-60 speed in 5.45 seconds are only only because you used it wrong! You need to depress the pedal halfway first!"

So bottom line is , both phones are still damn good and you should be proud to have either one, Just be nice and use them well rolleyes.gif

Anyone else bought their iPhones from Japan? What are the difference with local sets apart from warranty & camera shutter sound which can't be disabled? Language can be changed right?

You can change the language in IOS to any language within IOS Settings! smile.gif

Yes shutter sound cant disable but i heard of 3rd party camera apps that silence the shutter (not sure)

Well if anyone wants to know, my iphone 6 from australia has no problems with celcom. No lag, crash reported as of yet. I spent one day walking around, sitting, standing with the phone (bumper protected) in my front pocket. No bending!

But my first gripe with iOS 8: There is a switch to disable 4G, but that's it. The slowest you can go is 3G, can't save battery further by stepping down to Edge.

This ferrari of a phone refuses to go slow. rolleyes.gif

i think the bending thing is more prone on 6+ due to increase in size yet the same thinness. and as from these YT ppl bending, ip6 is better.

Thanks for the reply guys. VAT is at 8% & refundable at airport I assume? Tired of waiting for the local sets arrival.

Have anyone tried their luck sending in a non-local sets for warranty & got their replacement? From what I read, some SG set users managed to replaced theirs locally.

I'm interested to know this aswell. Here is details on my invoice:

小計
¥ 67,800
送料無料
¥ 0
消費税
¥ 5,424

注文合計
¥ 73,224

As you can see i was taxed ¥ 5,424, can i get a refund of that ¥ 5,424 from the Japan airport? I think i read somewhere you can't get tax refunds from the Japan Apple store?

I personally called QCD and asked this : "Do you entertain warranty claim for units purchased from australia official apple store?"

His answer was : the phone has not launched yet in malaysia. But once it launches, yes they do entertain warranty claim for such units, provided we give the receipt. They do give online receipt, so I'm comfortable enough with this.

Yeah no doubt even without receipt i manage to claim at mac city @ festival mall, coz i see a lot of ppl saying iphone dont have international warranty from starting until now also saying it, it really gives mislead information to ppl who want to get it earlier from outside msia.
