I could live on Maggi too, I'm just thinking if it's worth it. Hehe biggrin.gif

Of course its worth it, it's the best iphone for another one long year...unless you don't mind waiting for 6s+, not perturbed by friends showing off 6+ in front of you all the time or planning to switch to Android hehe

A long term review might be helpful for those who are undecided

Examples :
- file access n file sharing out to n fro from external thumb drives n ext sdcard. You need iTunes to manage files on phones. Versatility n flexibility loses greatly to Android OS. Jailbreak improve this slightly n not a complete solution as tested before with ip5
- sharing of info is very limited from browser, newsreader, Facebook n Tweeter. IOS 8.1 only some minor improvement only
- email cannot attach other file types eg zip, pdf, office files besides photo n video. Backdoor way is unproductive especially if you need attach multi attachment
- checking image size n properties not possible from photo app. I need to use another app just for that
These are some common iOS issues that affects my personal usage. Those who don't need these will even be unaware of such iOS disadvantages
There are several more functionality issues which I am not going to mentioned as is minor. The above are major ones that affects my usage of the phone

Ya, if you are still working with thumb drive and SD card, it will be a hassle plugging in to iTunes for transfer. For me, most of my stuffs transferred and backup via cloud like iCloud Drive, Dropbox and Box. With Airdrop and iCloud Drive, it's fast and convenient transferring any kind of files between your phone and mac.

As with most thing Apple where they seldom throw in every kitchen sink features into the OS, the rich app ecosystems can make up for the missing features especially with iOS 8's extensions, share sheets and iCloud Drive API, which is a huge thing that most top tier developers are currently working their ass off building apps for it, just need more time. We can see this in some app already like great utility apps like Transmit for iOS.

If you have been following iOS developments news, you'll know there are plenty of this really neat and interesting apps in the work. In a year from now, there will be a merging of single universal design for iPhone and iPad.. ie. Ipad type apps running on 6+ model with landscape split view for example. The only problem now is the waiting part for developers to release these apps but very soon. Great time ahead.

Thanks for this, great balanced review. I have the same kind of dilemma with the price of the IP6+, coz also eyeing a MacBook Air, hahaha...

Yosemite looks like crap on non retina mac especially Helvetica typeface. Wait for next year if you planning to get a MacBook Air. Or add a bit more and get the Pro 13"...worth it haha

Agreed.  My kid loved playing with my iPhone 4 and 5, but he lost interest in my phone when I changed to Note 3, haha. As for iOS simplicity, he learned to operate an iPad when he was 2 years old, haha biggrin.gif (ya,  I know,  terrible parenting)

Blue light quite disruptive for toddler growth (affects sleep etc)...might need to jailbreak your iPad and install flux if you haven't or get an Android tab hehe

I hope iOS 9 include warm light feature under Accessibilty.

All these iCloud n Dropbox not practical for me due to lousy wifi download ( average 3mbps) n 3g only 1-3mbps with no LTE at my place. Sharing files with friends n business associates is convenient thro thumb drives
Unlike most of u city folks high download speeds is only a dream here
And I am not a stranger to IOS having used all iphone till ip5 ( skip only ip5s) n all iPad series ( except iPad Air). I do know what is IOS n it's capabilities. As for future development as stated by you we still need to wait for it

Oh i see, then I think Note 4 suits you much better.
