Just want to double check. So the ipad bought from Malaysia does not have any warrantly and we have to pay to get AppleCare Protection plan for 1 year?

yaya, they wont ask any detail, just like normal purchase.... but if you very lucky after purchase, before ship or anything they will call you to verify (some people claim that, never happen to me yet).

In the case of Microsoft (Apple won't be far off), they will ask for either: your student email (the one ended with edu.my for Malaysia) or a scanned copy of student ID, both you can't bulls#t.

student ID can be easily duplicate..
just get a sample from friend or internet..
then go to printing shop and create one..

In fact, Microsoft has a list of recognized universities, if they want to , they can call the university and check the student ID. Just stating the fact of what they usually do, there are many ways to cheat if you really want to, but please don't abuse the system.
