For those scrape issues when running on wider wheels.. i think 8jj does not scrape like mad.. coz i've been running 8jj awhile oredi.. i think the offset is small that's why 8jj will scrape.. most people change rims since the tyre shop "advice" them.. so the offers u the "in-trend" wide rims.. always check the offset.. 8jj i recommend the offset should be +30/35 or more.. if the numbers is smaller (ie. +28, +25 or lower) the wheels going to pop out of the fender alot more..
the scrape area varies on the front.. mine was the 'daun pisang' & bumper screw clip holding the front bumper edge to the fender.. i removed the 'daun pisang' & cut off the extended clip part.. but if that's not the case than the fender edge need to be roll.. i did mine to go lower.. how the process doing it myself as picture attached.. there area other solutions too this that most people usually avoid.. i) choose narrower tyre wide.. 195 for example.. so the sidewall of the tyre is stretched abit to give enough clearance.. ii) run on negative camber on the wheels.. u don't need to go as much those STANCERs.. but again enough to have clearance.. like wise -1.5.. i've run those previously with no uneven ware on the tyre.. but u need to check on air plus alignment often to avoid the said problem.. ii) change back to lower jj & offset rims.. QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Mar 8 2015, 06:51 AM) Where's your location? It's pretty hard to screw up maintenance of a Waja since it's super common. If you're near subang I can recommend you my usual workshop though is it the usual uncle shop you went to for most of your engine mods? i'm looking for good workshop to do full checkup on my engine also in thought of doing p&p..This post has been edited by mao2: Mar 9 2015, 07:57 PM |

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Mar 9 2015, 08:14 PM) yeah the usual uncle shop. how you know? hahaha.. it appears on my feed thru yours, Ian's also Elton's.. also my guess its the same shop where the gutter fell on Elton's car his prices aren't exactly cheap though and his work might be slow, but his workmanship is top notch. anyway.. cheap will not always be good when its about cars.. u've experienced more than i have.. haha |

QUOTE(barca96 @ Jul 14 2015, 03:25 PM) Where can we find the original Proton (Waja) emblem. can try this seller.. bought few sets from him..Mine fell off in 2010 or so and then bought an aftermarket one but even that one fell off. Now I want the original one, not this cheap chrome look type. Thanks http://www.mudah.my/Waja+Original+Front+An...CK-18099486.htm |
