Dear sifus, regarding the treat points, if lets say I bought a RM2500 thing one time using Amex,

1. Means I can get 12500 TP, and hence able to waive the GST?
2. 12500 TP can only waive the GST for Amex card, but not included the Visa? (I am new user) What does it takes to waive GST of both cards (RM100)?

you may use the points to redeem the GST offset.

if you would like to redeem for both RM50 + RM50, please refer to the treatpoints catalogue for the amount of points needed.the catalogue is listed at maybank's website.

the tp is shared, if you have enough 25k tp, you can redeem for both gst rm100.
*
Oh means 12500 tp x 2 = waive RM100 right??

I see.

Too bad if you applied through the roadshow booth, you may get GST waiver for first year.
*
Yaya actually I got first year waiver too biggrin.gif But then still second and third year i need to worry about collecting points to waive the GST, since this is not my primary card and the annual usage might not be a lot...

Worry about the GST 11 months later. biggrin.gif

You will realise that… slowly, this mbb2card will be taking up a lot of your spendings. Bill payment, supermarkets, departmental, petrol. Unless you other card is hlb wise card or something else. tongue.gif

My other card is hlb wise card, that's why tongue.gif Plan to use mbb2 card for miscellaneous spendings which is not covered by my wise card cashback category (especially some occasional but relatively big one such as car service)...

What categories you choose for that STUPID card? If you choose petrol and groceries, it can make money for you. Each month I'm buying 10-15 bags of 2KG Milo and sell it back to coffee shops at rm30-31 thumbup.gif
Not to mention 2.5KG Top which doing the same also.
STUPID card only good on covering 3 categories, nothing more than that, so you still need another cash back card to cover everything.
Once you are using MBB's dual card, with the cash back and TP that can change to cash vouchers, you will find out that it is actually better than STUPID card.
*
Your prejudice ahh.... really doh.gif

I choose petrol and groceries, besides default mobile category.

Per month, I personally spend around RM600-700 of petrol, RM100++ on mobile, and RM100 on groceries. I reload touch n go using WISE card too (at mydin, around RM100 per month), under grocery category. Almost every month, I fetch my friends (who dont have transport) to go tesco/giant buy daily stuffs together, and use my card to pay first (extra RM200).

Hence, my monthly cash back easily reaches the max cap RM100 per month.

I need another cashback card to further maximize my cash backs, for those missed chances such as car service, weekend dining/entertainment, and so on.

Hence, WISE+mbb2 = RM150 cash back per month. WISE card is indispensable for me, if compared to any other cards.

Yup, STUPID shall be swipe rm990-1000, nothing more, nothing less.
Your utility bills also can use MBB to pay(except water and IWK)
And T&G no such thing as around, either rm100 or more(rm50 they won't accept card transactions) sweat.gif
BTW, I'm not prejudice against STUPID card, is I fed up the way they deny a cash back, like petrol cannot use counter and dining always having different MCC doh.gif
Worst case for me was, even swipe in the pump also can't get cash back doh.gif  doh.gif
*
Yup, I would limit myself to swipe the card not more than RM1000 (for cashback categories) because reaching the cap, any further usage I would use second card instead (my MBB or UOB ONE) to maximize my cashback amount. (cheapskate right? thumbup.gif )

If I didnt remember wrongly, u are facing issue because u use it at oversea right? At local macam no people complaint also, myself didnt face any cashback problem so far...

MBB2 is good, its just not as good as WISE because of lower cashback cap (by half), only on weekend, and Amex is still not as widely accepted as visa/mastercard... Nevertheless it is a very great second card.

Local also got, it just never ends. My highest record was a transaction took me 9 days to posted and I missed the cash back, the merchant even got the money on third day I pumped petrol doh.gif
So now my transactions done before 20th. Anything done before this they are very fast to post it, but after 23rd, it will be slower.
Just try to swipe your STUPID card at Aeon/Jusco and see does your statement still stands. Aeon/Jusco's supermarket's MCC are under groceries(the right MCC for STUPID) but yet you still can't get cash back. Like Seremban's Jusco are not entitled.
*
Fulamak sorry to hear that, 9 days is a lot... It could ruin one's spending plans. Mine so far maximum 2 days only... Not sure if u are one of a very few unfortunate ones sweat.gif

Luckily I dont like Aeon/Jusco, and prefer lower-class/cheaper places like tesco, giant, econsave, and mydin... thumbup.gif
