hi guys. anyone here got charged with late payment interest before? there are few times i paid my statement balance 1 day after due date and the day itself. Any idea to check how much they charged me? There's no line item stating interest charged or whatsoever.
*
if you pay on the statement date itself via M2U, there would not be any interest charge..
if you pay 1 day after the due date, you should be able to see the interest charge in M2U or next statement..

since it just one day late payment, you could call CS to waive the charge smile.gif

Hi guys, I am interested to get this 2 cards and thought of going to 1U card center to apply. Fortunately I go through a few pages in this thread and found out it is no longer "get your card in 60 minutes", hahaha...

anyway, I saw there is a promo at iMoney.com, stating that "Sign up and get RM 100 cash back". I am wondering is this promo available if I apply directly with the bank? Or need to apply through iMoney then only will get this cash back? Anyone has the answer?

Thank you so much.

yes, it no longer 60mins but still can get within 120mins if no technical problem at the card center..
the RM100 cash back is from bank, not iMoney..

read below for more information regarding the RM100 cashback

Thanks Bro poweredbydiscuz and maskedchan

By the way, do you guys know what is the last call time for 1U Maybank card centre? Plan to go and apply after work.

If not mistaken, open until 9pm.
If you not apply during office hours, you only can get your card next day.

Two weeks ago applied specifically for MBB2 Mastercard and recently got a called to collect it from Maybank.

Went to Maybank today and found out that it is a Visa card which I did not apply for. Reason given, Mastercard was having issues with application thus Visa card was given to all those who applied for Mastercard.

Customer service lady told me to talk to a person on the phone (someone from Maybank headquarters) regarding the issue at hand.

Person on phone told that if I insist to have a Mastercard, he can make an application for me but there will be risk that the card might give problem during payments. Therefore I said to cancel the current Visa card and to apply Mastercard later. This is when he started to sound unfriendly and stated that if I cancel the card now, I will run into trouble applying for a new card in the future.

Apparently they can go around threatening customers now?? Screw Maybank, I'll just apply from another bank if that happens.
*
what the person say is correct..
if you cancel the card, you cannot apply the card within certain period..
and might not get approval as well..

Well, regardless of whether it is true or not they shouldn't be threatening customers like this! I did not apply for a Visa so I have the right to reject it. Pushing something that I don't want in my face is not the polite way of treating a customer.
*
i do not know what kind of tone and attitude the person spoke to you..
if just merely informing you the information, i do not see it as threaten..

just because u getting visa and not mastercard and lose the potential of at least RM600 cashback, do you think really worth it?
i suggest you to take the card 1st, then call to CS and explain to them the situation, i believe they will be more than happy to issue mastercard to you and cancel the visa later on..

In future, AF will be harder to get waived I guess since once they waive, the banks need to fork out additional 6% to pay the govt.
*
simple..bank waive the AF..
you pay the additional 6% tongue.gif

1. Not possible. Even you didn't activate it, you will still need to pay for the other GST. Still it is the same. If that is allowable, all of us would have dumped the other card long time ago. laugh.gif
*
i think it is possible not to activate but GST surely will charge..
at least not activate could prevent fraud smile.gif
