On my wife's zenfone 5, the play store app didn't update to the latest version. I already clear data, cache and even uninstall update (back to factory version) for the play store app but later it just updated to 4.8.20 and when I check for update it says it is the latest. Please help... Thanks...

I have a problem updating a zenfone 5 to the latest firmware (84mb). I'm about to update it manually with ota update file from http://www.asus-zenfone.com/p/fota-center.html

My question, would I still receive notification about future update after this? I'm afraid if I update it manually like that, it would break something and this zenfone 5 become like those ap set, can't check ota update anymore

I tried downloading the update through ota few times already.

This z5 is stock and unroot. It's my wife's. Thanks for your suggestion. Does this mean I have to do like that every time there is new firmware coming up? Like those ap set?

Sorry to ask this, but I can't find any info about it on the 1st page. I want to update my wife's ZenFone 5. Now it is on Kitkat. My questions are:

1. I need to update it manually right?

2. After updating manually to Lollipop, does the phone will still receiving ota updates after that?

I already try updating through OTA but it says no update available. The Z5 is now at version 2.22.40.54.

So at THIS PAGE i can see that the latest version is version 3.24.40.78 and i can directly upgrade from 2.22.40.54, right?

Another question, do upgrading like this will delete everything in the Z5? Factory reset?

EDIT: Forgot to ask, how do u do OTA? Any other way other than using software update in settings?

Already done upgrading. Check Update doesn't show up any new update. I read somewhere there is a bug in bridge firmware (KK to L), so need to do manual update. Already done it.

Never though zenfone 5 still receiving update. Looking at the changelog, it looks like a good update.
