The problem that most people facing is uneven sunlight.

Those without sunlight place, use stone and rock to decorate the place.

Totally no sunlight then yes. But some areas with sunlight, but not enough. Takan you want to patch here and there with stone, right?

Why you got so many area some no sunlight some have?

For my area and experience. The inner area getting less sunlight in half yrs. Very small portion and triangle shade. So the grass grow lesser and become tall type. I clear it out and decorate with some stone and tree bark to prevent the weed grow.

Not only me, many facing the same problem.
My case i also can not figure out why some areas are less sunlight.

LOL, never realize got this topic previously.

Anyway, do not really have to worry on the insect.

1) Cut off all existing grass that don't want.
2) Do some pest control around the area.
3) There is product that can prevent pest from coming in to your area. can get from Mr. DIY.
4) Then install your articial grass.

5) Safer somemore, you can place garlic / garlic plant around your house, those will make pest runaway.

I recently purchased a roll to the brand is aces turf or something and mine's a 30mm pile

price for 1 * 2 M is around 180+

they have 2 versions one is from china which is a lot more cheaper and another is Australia as what they said which is the one I bought above.

here's my DIY install after wathing a lot of youtube install guide, a lot of planning and working on it for around 2 weeks ( only work on it during weekends )



I'm still having issue finding some 6 " nails for some part where the top layer soil used was a bit deep thus the nail I'm using doesnt properly stick .. I used galvanized nails those that are used for roofing.

Do you know where can I get 6" nails?

btw ignore the green gel .. those are pet get deterrent gel to avoid neighboring pets using my grass as thier new toilet .. before that they were constantly using it as their toilet and I had to clean up almost daily ..

If you don't mind, can try ask coffin shop. I think the nails >6"

bought mine from daiso. rm5 psf. then cats poop on it.maybe thought its real grass. bastard cats. after changed to new ones, still come back n re-poop

Need nails for artificial grass?

Same here, i sacrifice my own original grass due to cat problem.. Install artificial also the same..
Now, even worst, it not easy to clean..

for anybody else looking for Artificial Grass can go down to Sg Buloh .. selling at RM4 cheapest psf jst bought one at RM5 psf n paid RM250 only without GST hehe

any experience in drainage for artificial grass for outdoor? Current is concrete floor..

Nowadays all the cats just pass by and doesnt do thier thing anymore..

I bought the repellent (cant remember the brand in my head now) at the pet shop at mines .. I asked which was the recommended.

I bought 2 bottles of different type. One is spray and another is gel.. the gel last longer ( a couple of days ) but the spray was stronger. On top of that I added a chicken fence ( got the tip from this link - http://winkypedia.net/2011/03/11/how-to-st...n-your-garden/)

I initially put both brands together on top of the grass and toped up spray daily.

After a week or so up till today none of the cats came to poo at my yard anymore.

there are many grades of artificial grass.... the expensive ones looks very realistic.... cheaper ones are uniform green and feels very plastic.... best is go to sungai buluh shops to see see look look.....

Maybe you can check with those here who has done it before
