only die hard mac fans will say yes

if it can be proven so, apple wouldn't have ditched their old G5 procs and jump ship to intel instead

the only reason why most ppl associate mac with graphics is adobe photoshop = apple (used to be) and the industry got hooked to it ever since

i'll close this thread in a few days' time if there's no other reply

Why? Of because of the quality dude!
Simple test.

Graphic done with PS in Mac are better than the one done in PC.

1. On a Mac when I double click a Photoshop EPS file, it launches Photoshop. When I double click an Illustrator EPS file, it launches Illustrator. Unlike PC, bloody hell... don't even get me started.

2. When I hit 'Command +' the window with the images enlarges as well unlike on PC ('Ctrl +' on PC), the floating window stays the same while the image enlarges, forcing me to drag to extend the floating window. Really stupid.

3. The mouse tracking on the PC really sucks. Once you've used a Mac, you might understand me a bit on this. On a mac, it's solid while on the PC, it's like it's floating... regardless of how much you tweak it. Mind you, I have both crappy and a 1600dpi mouse.

yeah, i'm interested in seeing some samples as well. i mean, how can the same software produce images of different qualities on different machines?

IMHO, the issue at hand is not the hardware. it's the working environment. some designers are comfortable with macOS environment, and some others windows. despite the different platform, i strongly believe that the outcome is in no way different. another good point is that Macs are pretty, and designers digg pretty stuff. maybe that's why they choose Macs. If i'm a designer, i'd LOVE to have my work done in STYLE! biggrin.gif

on a different note, i have read that apple displays deliver the most accurate color and crisp images. this might also be a huge factor of machine selection (mac or pc) in design works.

How is that possible? Using a PC reduces the output quality of an image? Are you sure or am I getting it wrong.

When asked why Mac over PC, Mac has small market share (feels undeground-ish), they are physically beautiful, faster and has no virus. The PCs can do that too. Most of the Mac people I know act like Steve Jobs is their God or something. Total fanboyism. Ok lets not start comparing haha.

1. totally agreed, time saving thumbup.gif

2.u can set the adobe PS prefference in pc, so the windows will enlarge accordingly sweat.gif

3. well, this really comes tp personal prefference...personally i feel my mx518 has better tracking comparing to the mac mighty mouse...er..how to say, its really hard to control the center dot of the mouse if u ask me..
