Mazda must be freakin desperate to clear 2017 CX5 stock now.

My loan just approved and the SA called me n said if I’m willing to take 2017 car, he can give me a 6000 discount from 2017 price list.

Memang wtf. But i insist 2018.

Wow!! Very good discount and happy for you for getting it next week.

I also getting my wife's car next week but my SA only give me peanuts. Geram betul!!

Bought so many cars in my life and Mazda experience to me as a customer is the worst. Maybe it's the SA and that branch. It's a nice car but that branch and Bermaz spoilt the purchase experience.
*
Yeah, it is really depends on SA and brach manager.

Been to many branches, all gave different quote.

I dont beg, i just told them, “ok, lets make thing simple. I got this amount of downpayment and I’m capable and eligible to this amount of loan, n i wan this car. Please give me your best offer.”

Then i went to next door, i say the same thing, “can u beat that?” I added.

Then repeat.

If they really want to fight for accumulated sales, they will give u something to beat the later.

I use Ninja Shades, custom fit for the new CX5. Total 7pcs, including the rear and the side tiny triangle windows. Nicely fit, magnets hold the shades firmly. Good enuff to block sunlight and yet can see thru clearly at night so no need to take out the rear piece.

A bit pricey though I got it at rm220
*
220 is considered dirt cheap for 7 pcs dy.

Indeed.
But time is precious... lol!
And seems like the benefit is to those using Android. Those usung iPhone still have to wait
*
In my opinion, not worth the try.

U have to open up your dashboard n cut wire.

I see those angmoh just copy into thumbdrive and flash the unit only wor...need cut wire? Can share link see?

QUOTE(Bigblock @ Apr 22 2018, 10:43 PM)
Doubt need to cut wire, you need to access some port once you open up the dashboard to unhack the access to be able to reprogram the player and add features. Its a shame Mazda still does not support AA or Apple carplay... but I hope they can roll out an update
*
Need to unplug n tab, u can plug it back later.

But with all the histories u can found in google, mazda can refuse to update your system due to u r voiding the terms by cracking their software, even just a small matters like changing the wallpaper of your MZD.

Anyway, good news, MZD update with AA n car play will be available by falls 2018. However, we are not sure will it bring to older models or not, but most likely yes since they said they will back in year 2017.

Thanks for the info mate. Not really in a rush for AA really but it will be a pleasure to have. But for some with kids its a serious must have and CX5 is a family car. Mazda in general should have future-proofed themselves
*
FYI, android auto is made for driving pleasure but not for kids.

Originally there are only very limited music listening apps and driving guidance apps inside the OS itself. U cant install anything more than that, there is no play store. N no youtube or video playing apps.

It is a supportive OS that only can be use with the present of an android phone. It is not a standalone OS that u can install apps freely.

Then again it depends how savvy you are on installing 3rd party apk to enable it to play youtube videos. Even AA is not to open to our country as of yet. I have personally experienced AA working with youtube videos in a friends car (google further you might find it).

The way I relate is I have a grandparent that often joins me in long drives to my hometown and having youtube on to play her movies would be helpful.
There is always disclaimers and risks when playing videos while driving and drivers need to adhere to the rules never the less. Certainly if its distracting you, just shut the thing off. Also to add, this applies to the GPS we constantly use
With kids, I would opt methods like what you have explained. A standalone screen at the rear, much better bet. Have you decided to go for crv or still waiting for the cx5 to have more options? Glad to have your support on the forum with constant replies.

Its a tweak. U can do watever u wan with a tweak, which is not recommanded from whoever party.

But yeah, it’s your choice.

sharing is caring.  icon_rolleyes.gif

been trying to read up on it today. seems like need to modify some of the bin code in the software. quite in depth discussion mazda 3 revolution forums.

need to contact our fellow bro in MCCM FB page to see which ELM327 OBD unit he's using. hehe

but like duckies mention, alot of it G2 already have. although i would like the double press unlock on remote to sound the honk feature. seem like useful when looking for car at carpark.
*
yeah, in Mazda term, they named it "Find my Car". Available in European and US.
