Bought so many cars in my life and Mazda experience to me as a customer is the worst. Maybe it's the SA and that branch. It's a nice car but that branch and Bermaz spoilt the purchase experience.

I use Ninja Shades, custom fit for the new CX5. Total 7pcs, including the rear and the side tiny triangle windows. Nicely fit, magnets hold the shades firmly. Good enuff to block sunlight and yet can see thru clearly at night so no need to take out the rear piece.

Doubt need to cut wire, you need to access some port once you open up the dashboard to unhack the access to be able to reprogram the player and add features. Its a shame Mazda still does not support AA or Apple carplay... but I hope they can roll out an update

Thanks for the info mate. Not really in a rush for AA really but it will be a pleasure to have. But for some with kids its a serious must have and CX5 is a family car. Mazda in general should have future-proofed themselves

Then again it depends how savvy you are on installing 3rd party apk to enable it to play youtube videos. Even AA is not to open to our country as of yet. I have personally experienced AA working with youtube videos in a friends car (google further you might find it).

The way I relate is I have a grandparent that often joins me in long drives to my hometown and having youtube on to play her movies would be helpful.
There is always disclaimers and risks when playing videos while driving and drivers need to adhere to the rules never the less. Certainly if its distracting you, just shut the thing off. Also to add, this applies to the GPS we constantly use
With kids, I would opt methods like what you have explained. A standalone screen at the rear, much better bet. Have you decided to go for crv or still waiting for the cx5 to have more options? Glad to have your support on the forum with constant replies.  :thumbsup:

That one when I tested it, it seems auto scan all the stations and saved it in memory. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Auto frequency. Like hitz 92.9 in klang valley and when go to other states den automatically tune to that state frequency.

saw someone on Mazda CX-5 FB page, software mod their 2.0GLS to enable SCBS (rear)    seems like all the hardware needed is there, just that it's not software activated.
