QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Jul 31 2016, 09:53 AM) Go for 2.5L if ur budget is allowable...FC almost same as 2.0L, my 2.5L 2WD can hit 5xxkm with R95 for 50/50. Only recent 5W-40 make me hit 49xkm......some forumer can even hit 550 to 600km. Thanks , my dad finally went with the 2.5L variant 2WD Big diff for pick up and smooth poweful drive....price diff about 10-12k depend on rebate.... of cause double roadtax n much higher tyres maintenance but enjoy the drive.....big car but feel like 2.0V sedan performance. I believe the 2.5L price is still cheaper then some famous brand 2.4L..... If your budget lagi more then consider the 2.2L Turbo Diesel.... Hehhe just my personal opinion....I almost give up 2.0L CX5 when test drive it ....FYI, I was from 2.0L Altis n can feel the big pick up sluggist unless play with the pedal but once try 2.5L then no regret of choosing it..... Try ask ur dad test drive both before decide .....if ur dad from sedan 2.0L or 2.4L then doubt he will like 2.0L....heheh Since no point getting AWD when you are mostly on highways |

Has anyone installed Android Auto on CX-5
My Dad would be getting his CX5 tomorrow Time to get AA to run on this CX5 , that makes it a lot easier , once AA supports Waze Can use the headunit to display bigger waze map and alert For those who are wondering https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeFLtCf77go This post has been edited by prasys: Aug 5 2016, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Aug 6 2016, 09:21 AM) As what I know, it is not 100% perfect yet as online review still mention some dragback like have to turn on bluetooth to disable the radio sound, when need to upgrade SW then have to revert back else will brick the system, playing video have somel steps require etc..... All of it has been fixedAnyway my dad got his CX-5 , first thing I did was to install Android Auto and also the funny part is that this car has WiFi , very strange. Not sure what's the purpose but yeah it has WiFi |

QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Aug 6 2016, 03:43 PM) Well it works pretty well , you can see my tweets for the list of screenshotshttps://twitter.com/prasys/status/761932436955508737 How to install 1. Prepare a USB Thumbdrive. Format it as Fat32 2. Download https://github.com/gartnera/headunit/releases , the release 0.93A 3. Unzip it , put in the thumb drive 4. Bring it over to your CX-5 5. Plug it in , and wait for 2-3 minutes 6. A pop-up appears , press update 7. Let it update and reboot 8. once it has rebooted you would see Android Auto 9. Download the Android Auto app from play store . It is not in Malaysia , so go to APKMirror or somewhere to download it and install 10. Plug in the cable and start Android Auto. Poof it works Your spotify , your music and everything ! Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Aug 6 2016, 11:01 PM) So 0.93a is only AA but not the tweak version that enable spedometer, video player etc? I heard the tweak 1 is v1.50..... Don't install that AIO tweak. If you do , you can't do a factory reset . The tweak pack is V1.5.0 , but the Android Auto is version 0.93AThe whole AIO tweak is risky , it installs all and the kitchen sink , if one thing screws up - thats it - your CMU never boots up and get stuck in the Mazda logo forever By the way , did you know our car has wifi ? |
