QUOTE(Catherine85 @ Dec 22 2014, 10:57 AM)
Note: CRO= Customer Relationship Officer

I would like to ask a few questions for my WISE Card.

I applied via email to a customer officer on 6 Sept and I only chose WISE Gold (Visa) with Petrol and Utilities category. The bank then issued my card on 13 Sept and gave me GSC Gold and WISE Gold. I used my card for petrol, utilities and mobile.

The first bill came on November and the Bank did not recognise my petrol spending. I called to the CRO on 12 November and the CRO said he will help me to look into it and hence the rebate will be a month later, compared to my rebate on utilities.

The second bill then came on December and this time I saw the bank charged me for RM10 (Petrol Maintenance Fee) on 14 November which referred to changing of category. And again, the bank did not recognise all my petrol spending from 1 Nov to 13 Nov. I was angry and I called the CRO on 15 Dec. The CRO said this is a rare case and will get back to me the following day.

I received no response after 16 Dec and I called up again on 18 Dec. The CRO on 18 Dec promised to return my call on the following day too. But, again no respond. Hence, I called again just now. Still the CRO asked me to wait till next week.

***Question: Why the bank did not recognise my petrol spending given that I did not change the category at all? ***
Question 2: I did not use the GSC Gold Card and they charge me RM150 annual fee. I intended to cut the card but they said it is a combo card. Once I terminate the GSC Card, my WISE Card will be terminated too. (Sort of cheating )

What can I do for my missing category case and annual fee waiver? Need advise.
*
actually the person whom you applied from is very important. there are cases that you mentioned you want gold but get platinum, you chosen petrol+utilities ended up with petrol+grocery, you signed up one card but received combo cards, etc.

1) i suspect that your category were not registered as petrol. so when you called, they changed your category to "solve" your problem.
2) do you know whether you are signing up for the combo card? if yes, why do you sign up if you don't use it?

for those chosen groceries, do you buy Tesco shopping voucher? and does it has expiry date?

I want to switch category, or anyone want to swap tesco voucher with aeon voucher?
*
tesco voucher = 1 year
giant voucher = 6 months
mydin voucher = 3 months
aeon store voucher = lifetime
aeon big gift card (aeon big has no voucher) = lifetime

Wait.. so you guys are buying the vouchers using the card to help achieve the RM50 x 10 cashback requirements?
*
yes, if you can't achieve the 50x10. also with the voucher, you can boldly spend near the end of the month (where usually people don't dare to use wise card because afraid it takes long time to get posted).

anyone here use wise card and pump caltex?

I just notice in my statement, when i use the card at caltex counter/cashier it's not categorised as petrol.
the reason i swipe card at counter is because the card terminal at pump do not accept their own journey card yet. damn
*
1) wise card cannot be used at the cashier/counter for petrol (if you want cashback)
2) just pump at the dispenser with your wise card, then use the receipt to ask the cashier to manually load into your bcard

wow...didnt know can do like that. great solution. you're the savior  notworthy.gif
only last week i start pumping caltex, i only pump fuel that have contest haha
*
so far all the caltex i went to (including different states), i do in this way. show the receipt after pump for manual bcard points load.

fyi, only caltex allows this because i believe all their automated dispenser still cannot accept bcard yet. don't try with shell bonuslink, petronas mesra, bhp ecard, nor petron miles. they can't do manual points reload.

Instantly gain rm15 even better profit margin than my rm30 Milo shocking.gif

ot: but how do you know your neighbour use the same pad with your wife? hmm.gif

agree! always do homework! dont get succumb to gimmicks by sales minions.

when i gotten my Wise card, i've been reading LYN topics for about 6 months!  laugh.gif

always trust b&w terms & conditions. verbal promises from sales minions doesnt hold any water, in fact, minions "blow water" just to meet their target. unethical, yes you can complaint, but you already committed with the actual T&Cs upon signing up with HLB itself.
*
some sales agent are really good. give full information about how to maximise the benefits of wise card and warn people to take note what to avoid too. also, they make sure you only get what you applied for. this type of agent is what i like.
