QUOTE(Shinichi @ Sep 5 2006, 09:22 PM) Hi all, want to know if you are only able to choose one job between a job with higher pay and a job that you like (with below average pay), which would you choose? Thanks in advance. Somewhere in between. Meaning to say, I won't get a job that I like but gives me peanut, neither would I want to work for a job that's financially convincing but I have neither the skill sets nor interest in it. Anyway I like my job now and satisfied with my salary

Mentioning about interest, sad but true that many people don't get to work on what they are interested in. For example, many people like to be fashion designers, game designers, superstar, football player, prime minister but ended up being accountant, sales clerk, programmer, marketting exec etc. (which is not something they really desired, regardless of whether the salary is decent or not)
But luckily, interest is not something that being fixed into your mind since you're born. It is being developed dynamically.
And I agree with what nyprinz83 said. Whether you like the job or not is not solely dependant on your interest in the job nature or the salary, but also some other factors like your colleagues, your boss, the environment. So many people actually find themselves reluctant to work in job they didn't really like, but ended up enjoying it
