Depends on how low is the salary.

I rather choose Interest ... if you get a job with high pay but you don't like the job descriptions; such as have to work for longer hours or you unable to foster any interest with it. What's the point? biggrin.gif

Well let's take an example, the starting salary of a fresh graduate in electronics engineering field is RM 2.3k to 2.5k and I got an offer from a job that I like very much but the salary is RM 1.6k to 1.8k with some allowance, I will choose the latter one.

Well, it's good that if you can pick new interest in the job that you are being offered because of its high salary.

yeah, environment is another factor like some people mention previously.

if you like your job,but your collegue and boss treat you like dog,you wouldn't be happy working too.

in the opposite, even though you dont see any future in your career, but you enjoy doing it and the collegue and boss are nice, you will be more happy than the previously mentioned.

I agreed with the environment. Even though the job is not really your interest, if the environment is supportive enough; from training, facility, mentoring, you might develop interest too.

If you can develop, then thanks god. If not, you'll be complaining a lot.

Some company doesn't allow to claim OT even though you work more than normal working hours. It falls under job description implicitly.

At the end of the day, you still need to choose a side.
