QUOTE(horns @ Apr 15 2015, 12:37 PM) worked fine here previously. upgraded to 10056 days ago. [attachmentid=4412227] the obvious: the power button finally moved close to start button. Upgraded to 10056 from 10051, pressing the apps (non metro apps) in start menu doesn't launch, only launches when search about it. Hmm

QUOTE(horns @ Apr 16 2015, 12:54 PM) no such issues here. i have installed several desktop software and run them via start menu (click on 'all apps', then navigate and click on the software icon) i did a fresh install instead of upgrades. what i found out was spartan at this stage is really terrible to navigate. it can stop responding in one tab (no response to mouse clicks), but if you quickly click on another tab and back to it, everything is fine again. I think the upgrade produced some problems, I cannot run any desktop softwares via start menu (it comes out nothing) unless I type in the search bar and start from there. Wait for next month's update then I'll start fresh.

QUOTE(horns @ Apr 23 2015, 10:51 AM) thanks stasio. downloading the esd for the second time because the first one didn't decrypt :/ zellleonhart, check out the very first point in the bug list link posted by stasio. sounded familiar? i think i didn't get this because i used the x64 version of desktop apps. edit: this one is good. decrypting you have found the x64 iso nice! i am doing wim dump so esd is good. I have rolled back to Windows 8.1 haha, my main laptop has to be stable. The speed of 8.1 is definitely faster than the preview as of now haha (especially noticeable in bootspeed). Hopefully more to come for Windows 10!

QUOTE(horns @ Jul 29 2015, 05:09 PM) it's better to change all hardware, activate windows, then perform upgrade. don't bother waiting. just download the iso from the above official links and do offline upgrade. since now we can download iso, you can do: 1) have an activated windows 8.1 / 7 PC (connected to internet) 2) download iso and make bootable usb stick then use that to do offline upgrade 3) after upgrade, do CLEAN INSTALL using the same bootable usb, which means WIPE/FORMAT the HDD 4) Skip the product key 5) Finish install and check the product activation (connected to internet) I have an activated win 8.1 but don't have the upgrade to windows 10 icon yet (i'm updating all the windows update now but god knows when the icon will appear). Can i still use the ISO to upgrade for free or must have the icon only can upgrade even with ISO? Thanks.
