you can do upgrade with w10 iso. there is a reason why some are still stuck without any prompt from the system to do upgrade, even gwx icon is present. one of the problems is that gwx scanned the system and found out hardware/software incompatibilities.

my solution to this is easy: take out incompatible hardware, install a plain old os to get rid of incompatible software (or you can just reset it with built-in reset thing), make sure os is activated, connect to internet then proceed to upgrade.

at first i have a problem after upgraded to win10 via the media creation tool.
after everything done, when in desktop mode, totally cannot click anything until i shut it down and turn on again.
