Here is what i did in order to get advantages for this newly Windows 10 OS & get problems / bugs free. My devices is ASUS N53 series laptop with clean installation of Windows 10 Home x64

1. Perform ugrade from your Windows 7 SP1 or 8.1 using upgrade reserve or Media Creation Tool. Later, make sure the windows is activated. This is a MUST step in order to get Windows activated the official way.

2. Later, perform Clean installation from your created ISO USB / DVD burn disk by formating the OS(C:\) partiton. You will get a fresh OS later on. All the files/software inside C drive will delete. Skip for key request during clean installation process

I'm not an expert, just had the experience to perform clean win 7 installation on about 10 PC/ laptop. But sorry I think I'm too dumb I can't understand your guide.

Since C:\ partition will be formatted for a clean install, why should Win 7 or 8.1 still need to perform upgrade before format?

If the win 7 is already activated the first day I bought the laptop, isn't it consider official activation already?

logically thinking, u cant use key for win 7 on win 10.. is it?

thus..

win 10 need key from win7/8.1(upgrade) > convert that key  to win 10 key > stored into server

then only u can clean install

That makes sense too. What about this?
- Format my current win 7 and clean install win 7,
- Install all the drivers.
- Activate genuine win 7 key, then run windows update to latest win 7 SP1.
- UPGRADE to win 10 using the win 10 iso that I downloaded using media creation tool.

I know it is double the work but logically the activation should be successful, right?
