Me too.. i probably would just stick to Windows 8.1... i am comfortable with it. the Recycle bin icon is just plain flat. the folders icons too.. it's like it's getting older...Microsoft Windows 10

QUOTE(Marcion @ Mar 22 2015, 11:35 AM) Yea... the icon's somehow doesn't blend in UI... it's plain simple and cheap... maybe cost cutting on icon designing? too much hassle ? LOL...I but Windows 10 somewhat more crap. Revamped UI, explorer, themes doesn't give off a nice and comfortable. I find the icons from Android Kitkat much more nicer. Will skip Windows 10. Windows 8.1 all the way |

A year of free upgrade.... or a year of usage? After upgraded, used for a year, expire it's license, buy new to continue? OR After upgraded, used for as long as you like? |

QUOTE(rikimtasu @ Jul 30 2015, 07:08 PM) Install windows 8.1,activate and upgrade is the usual way, however it leave Windows.old unless you do a cleanup. So usualy i would do this first then fresh install to avoid upgrade only problem. Yes, i have done it...The key of 8.1 won't direct work on windows 10,they detect by hardware id now so if you had done upgrade one your motherboard will be able to active the first install after you connect to the internet. it was like this : Windows 8.1 Pro > upgrade to Windows 10 > Reset this pc ( Keep nothing ) > Fresh Windows 10 and when i reconnect to internet, i check This PC Properties, it atomically activated which is nice. and it also give my computer a special name, which i probably leave it as it is, cause i scare if i change the name, my windows 10 will become non-activated.... from your second paragraph, you mean i can still activate if i change motherboard? |

QUOTE(tinarhian @ Dec 10 2015, 11:06 PM) Choose upgrade first, right on top on your 8.1 to have your pc recognized by microsoft server. You only have to do this once. After that, you can go to Recovery > Reset , which is the same as clean install. After that, when you go online, your pc will automically activate by itself no matter how many times you clean install. Change HDD also never mind, as long as motherboard stay.
