Car already in perodua for 2 months.
Claim approved on 2nd week.
Who should I call for status of repair. Perodua or insurance
Been told it takes at least 2 month from perodua.
Now just wanna follow up since it's been 2 month

And so far only received SMS from insurance that claim approved. Did not mention how long it will take.
Own fault claim own insurance.

Thx for the reply. So I will call perodua for the status soon.

u will when u signed the discharged voucher. unless u signed blindly the doc.

i think u signed blindly the doc coz perodua already in progress to repair ur car. meaning the doc with the cost already signed.
*
nop. i dint sign anything after received sms that the repair is approved(sms from insurance company)
but when i leave my car at perodua, they only asked to sign claim doc, gave police report and etc.
then the person said they estimate 2 months for the repair. when asked do i need to do anything else(etc to follow up after submit claim, they said no need, just wait around 2month they will call to collect car) . the perodua workshop is not roadside workshop. i called up insurance when they helped me submit and confirmed that workshop is under perodua. so i just dint follow up anymore

Jan, my proton persona kena rear end, repaired cost also 6k. Nothing major also.

11-Jan, accident, police report, send in workshop
15-Jan, repair est to insurance
18-Jan, police keputusan out
20-Jan insurance approval (supplementary req)
1-Feb, all parts arrived
7-Feb collect car.

timeline above for your ref.  I think the part that most makan time is waiting for all the necessary parts. Now just waiting for LOU, the workshop said the file the claim already. But yet to hear a single thing.
*
u collected your car on 7th FEB .. now waiting for LOU ? Letter of undertaking ? what is it for ?

follow up with insurer. workshop wouldnt know
*
I just called workshop. Workshop say try to settle this month.
Car go into perodua workshop since early Feb.
Also told me got apa turun engine. Chassis change.
Need me to take original geran after complete repair and go to puspakom. If settle on month end. Mean total time car in workshop is 3 months. Is that consider ok? Based on the pic I posted above.

Then I called up insurance, asked them to provide breakdown of what being claimed. They will email me.

But duno what offer letter to perodua actually belum accept, insurance say during repair sometime they found more part damaged they will add in the cost.

I'm lost. Is that normal given the timeframe is really long.

Well, according to the car owner who rear-end me, her insurer is Liberty; I email them enquired about the LOU claim.. they said no records. Check with Proton workshop, they said filed already...

So now kind of loss in translation
LOU == Loss of Use claim, Bro.. the title of this thread. U can claim against 3rd party insurance for the loss of use of your car.
*
It's own fault so cannot claim LOU.
Wondering if no timeframe. They can drag until 6months?
Usually what to do for this case. Been 2 month

Ya, after first repair estimate...when workshop tear open your car, they may find more parts need to be replaced, hence supplementary request to insurance, then wait insurance approval or worst send in adjuster to validate... then wait for parts to arrive...
Nothing much, apart from keep asking them nicely, like "how the progress?", "all hte parts arrived?" and also go down the workshop check personally. for Insurance approval date u can check online here, https://www.merimen.com.my/claims/index.cfm...ant&ins=allianz
u might need to find the correct link for your insurance
*
So if they haven't add supplementary request mean they not even start to fix yet? Or they already fixing and if found more issue they will submit more? Coz insurance told me mayb they will add supp req. So I'm wondering is the supp req is done when fixing or must open all and confirm ady only submit. Then still need wait insurance approval then only can fix?

Make sure to visit or call once I awhile.
Mine happen that the pomen told me actually they repaired the car since awhile ago. Just the staff did not submit all relevant documents to jpj on time. So ended up 2 month and 3 weeks only collect car. FYI today collected car. Total insurance pay 13k+ for the repair( perodua initial estimation is 20k)

congrats man. The car Wobbly or not? 🤔
*
Bezza is wobbly above 80kmh when going thru some curve.
Realized this when I drive the car after a month during a trip down to ipoh. Also found out that the steering wouldn't go back to original position after u-turn or sharp turn. Have to ownself steer it back to original position. Other than that not much complain. Save fuel is the best part of this car.

Just now collect car I drove 1 round around the SC. Seem ok with the repair work. Btw after repair parts is 6months warranty. And any unsatisfactory with the repair work can complain back to insurance or perodua as stated in the worksheet
