Unfortunately, not everyone is able/wants to buy a device, use/test it and sell it off later (or keep it!) to purchase another one.
Plus I have other hobbies so I need to budget for everything. Plus, the phone is going to be a necessity since my Note 2 died, why not get a "good" one. I'm one of these people, where I buy a phone which I plan to use for years to come - until the next big thing comes along

Therefore, I read many reviews, gather as many opinions then hopefully make an "informed" decision. This wasn't the case when I got the original iPhone - got it cause it looked so damn good at that time. Bought a unit without even testing and comparing it with other phones. Those were the days ..... and this was what I fell in love with
