Am heading to Sabah at the end of the year for a short holiday, since I don't get much holidays and I love seafood, can anyone recommend places in Pusat Bandar Kota Kinabalu area for cheap and good seafood? I heard Tanjung Aru is the best place to visit smile.gif

Not halal also can.

Thanks!

Yeah, will avoid fancy places. Planned to give Welcome Seafood Restaurant a go too. Thanks!

Welcome seafood, nearest to KK city
Or if u willing to take cab to slightly further, u can go Gayang or Salut (many said not nice, but still my preferred seafood restaurant). Before u go there u can ask taxi driver put u down to tapao coconut pudding, just around 1km before salut/gayang

Was at Tg Aru yesterday...seafood there is so-so at best. Saw a banner for RM25/pax steamboat-barbeque there but didn't try.

Recommend u go Asia City instead for fresh seafood with good cooking...is not too cheap but IMO well worth the price.

Little Italy used to be good...many yrs ago..the owner brought the oven in from Italy and used his mom's recipes....but I don't think he cooks anymore, relying on local staff...and food quality is a far cry from what it used to be. Not recommended.
