for HU.. the Sony new series might be a good choice..but still reliability is my concern as the previous Xplod series are consider as a total failure becos the reliability is crap

try to get the HU which cost around 500+ ( mid range HU) will be more secure IMHO
so total save around rm700 will get u a decent HU + ur equipment installation

get a decent HU first then run ur tweets and mids with ur HU
later stage only invest on crossover, amps and sub woofer

that's what i can think of with ur budget and equipment

eclipse is kinda not so popular among normal user
cos not very user friendly
but it do sound better than Pioneer and Sony IMHO
the 2005 - 5xxx series are selling below 1k
good investment i would say

since u haven got ur car yet
why not wait until u get ur car only talk about getting the HU
mayb by that time u will have better budget

i will go for Perodua anytime

eclipse 5 series for me

amp's crossover got frequency limitation
the freq cut off point sometimes is not suitable (either too high or too low)
or not accurate

but some amps like genesis profile4 ultra , a/d/s comes with built in active crossover..
freq cut off kinda accurate too

window breaker also dono wat brand is eclipse
so far din hear any eclipse user kena break in
