You are entitled to your opinion. Up to you (as long as you dont hurt/oppress others). If you lock your mind, only read teachings that you are used too, then how can you call that belief? How can you call that iman?

And if you really believe in this world today there is only one Islam, which is what you practice right now, ...oh my..

If you can have an authentic source then why go for 2nd rated?

Assalamualaikum my brothers,

I am new here and let me say that I am actually quite happy to find a thread where fellow muslim and non-muslim can learn and gain knowledge about Islam. I pray Allah protect us from false information and people who are trying to break our ummah.

I have a problem which is now quite critical in my case and I wish to seek advice to those who are willing to advice me on what I should do next.

Last year,I have done a lot of unforgivable sins and because of those sins, I have lost everything ,from friends to dropping out of college. As in right know , I am mentally broken and have been in critical depression and ran from my problems rather than facing them.

I haven't been in contact with anyone other than my family members and I've isolated myself from going outside. I am paranoid about everyone and this leads me  to not trust anyone anymore. I've also lost faith in anything and almost committed suicide early this year. I hated myself for far too long and am too scared to approach the truth. I've always asked myself... ' What am I living for if I myself have given up on myself'

Currently I am trying to improve myself a bit by helping my parents around the house rather than locking myself in my room. And also, I'm trying to learn more about Islam and how to be a better muslim but somehow my past and my sins pulls me back into giving up and losing hope.

P/s : Sorry if this more of a confession from me. It's been a problem that I've been bottling in me since I was in high school.Any advice will be appreciated.

How many times you open Quran in a month? How long you read it everytime you open Quran? Do you guys read with translation?

Not daily but selalu. Got hantaran Qur'an with Eng translations by Pickthall, Dawood and Yusuf Ali.

Tak kisah bahasa apa, yang penting kita faham.  In any case always use multiple translations rather than bergantung to a single one only. I did learn Arabic back in school but sadly never pay any intention much at that time. Rasa menyesal pulak.

Ni pengalaman akunyg dah anak3, kenapa kuasa talak tidak diberi ke wanita sebab asal gaduh skit mintak lepaskan sebab dia ingat aku ada pompuan lain, SO BAYANGKAN kalo kuasa talak kat dia....ramai lah lelaki lelaki diceraikan ha..ha..

does anyone know why suddenly all the pengharaman tariqat issue suddenly come back? personally i have joined some of their session with the qasidah and all that but still confused on the pengharaman apart from their excessive obsession with their leader (cium kaki tuan guru and all that). should it be okay if I join the qasidah as an act of group zikir?

also bro seiferalmercy count me if if there is such session, berminat nak join jugak but if wanna do santai2 lagi best kot hehe

Hadis ibadah bulan rejab memang hadis dhaif.

Dalam hal2 akidah, perkara halal haram tak boleh beramal dengan hadis dhaif. Kalau bab sunat atau harus, tak apa. Buat ibadah sunat (puasa, baca yasin etc) generally dapat pahala, tak kisah la buat bila2, tu je.

Contohnya doa makan, datang daripada hadis dhaif. Tapi no problem jadi amalan.

Bukan semua bidaah menyesatkan, lagipun hadis dhaif bukan hadis palsu, cuma sanad tak strong. Tapi seeloknya tak disebarkan hadis2 yang tak sahih (org sekarang suka main share semua benda tanpa pastikan dulu status/sumbernya).
