calling all interisti to assemble here if you guys still exist out there. biggrin.gif

played palermo at renzo barbera last nite. what a shitty game that was. we played like a bunch of wooden dildos. thanks to kovacic for that glimpse of individual brilliance tho.

forza inter nonetheless

hahahha... agreed. too many glory hunters nowadays, be it in clubs or countries. eg, u can easily spot people wearing german jerseys anywhere which were close to nonexistent before wc2014.

back to inter, hoping for a good title challenge from them this season. dont want serie a to be a two horse race only

a shame isn't it?

i think one mistake that inter made after winning the tripleta in 2010 was the failure to build the momentum and take advantage of the post-effects of such a triumph.

i mean, your team just won everything. the fanbase grew larger. the club's reputation got bigger. if i was moratti, i would spend like crazy for the next season. get bigger names to play for the team and build another formidable squad for the future.

but he didn't. he was complacent. benitez was not given the chance to get the players that he asked for. and worse, the players were complacent. but who could blame them? you just won everything the season before, so the motivation was understandably low.

and inter have only seen one direction since then, down. the team has been going downhill since the treble. yes i've heard stories of mighty giants falling, but not in such a rapid fashion.

maybe what was going through my head before the kick-off of the CL final 2010 just came true. i said to myself "if we win this one, i don't mind inter becoming a shit team for decades". and here we are now, a shit team. biggrin.gif

YESSS FINALLY!!! Thanks for making a 14/15 thread for Inter thumbup.gif thumbup.gif .

What I think Moratti should have done during the time we were Serie A winners for consecutive seasons was to have a plan on how to sustain the club's income so that it doesnt plunge to debt. Be it new stadium or increase deals with media companies, it should have been like that. Moratti was a huge fan but not really a businessman, now we have Thohir who seems that he has some vision to get us out of this FFP debt.

Moving on, the match against Cagliari tonight. I'm expecting to build on the Atalanta performance (probably our best performance this season so far, Sassuolo doesnt count). Icardi won't be fit to start here. This is a must win match and its matches like these where we have to gain all 3 points instead of settling for draws like against Torino or Palermo if we are to prove Juventus and Roma a challenge.

Forza Inter per sempre!!! icon_rolleyes.gif

aye mate couldn't agree more with moratti being the biggest fan of the team, but sadly he wasn't a good businessman when football today is business itself.

i think we have made a surprisingly good start to the season, better than what was expected. all of the new signings have been excellent. yeah, even vidic. apart from that brainfart against palermo, he has been commanding. medel is an absolute boss, and osvaldo, i love this dude as he offers more creativity upfront. loving his touches and off the ball movements. plus, he looks very much like khal drogo and that's cool as fark. laugh.gif

forza inter per sempre. let's get all 3 points tonite! (ibarbo and sau have indeed been a pain in the arse for inter for the past 1-2 seasons tho)

i was watching cesena - milan via streaming and at the same time following the live score of inter game. apparently nagatomo got sent off way too early in the first half and cagliari score 3 goals before HT

are you a fan of wooden dildos then? biggrin.gif

no live on tv, so i had to watch the game through a shitty stream thus couldn't really see much. i stopped watching at half time tho.

raped in the arse by cagliari. ibarbo was toying with our defense. meh, i'm pissed off for sure but i have kinda got used to this sort of results and pathetic displays.

and nagatomo doh.gif

it's difficult and unhealthy to be an inter fan. but, what can we do?

Looks like we're still a heck long way to the top... doh.gif

I think the team would have been playing great after Osvaldo equalised and when Yuto got sent off, everything broke down. I read that after he was gone, all remaining goals came from the left yawn.gif .

not sure if it was deserved sending off cos i couldn't see shit due to shitty streaming, but yuto has been playing like crap recently anyway. mazzarri should bench him and hope that'll knock some sense back into him. should play with either d'ambrosio or jonathan as rwb and dodo as lwb from hereafter.

and i really hope that mazzarri will stop with his ridiculous 3-man defense formation. gosh our football is just painful to watch.

ya lor. how the hell he dares to still stick with this 3 man defense. unless he can somehow think that his team is on par with juve, which is not rclxub.gif

mazzarri is just too stubborn. he's trying to hard to create an identity for himself. like mourinho is known as a master of counter-attacking football, guardiola is known as a master of tiki taka, etc. he wants to be known as a master of something too. he believes (or he pretends to believe) that this ridiculous 3-man defense formation is his specialty, something that he's good at, and he wants people to recognize him for that. too bad it's obviously not working well for him. he needs to stop shoving it down our throats (and his own as well) ffs.

2-0 win against some unknown team last nite in the europa league.

the result is okay, but it was horrible performance wise. bored the fark out of me and i just felt like sleeping the whole match. quite surprised how did i manage to stay on until the end.

d'ambrosio is developing a habit of scoring in EL. icardi with a clinical finish to wrap up the match.

i must be a terrible sinner to be punished via my unexplainable love and support for this hopeless team. laugh.gif

nothing could be done about the first 2 goals as sometimes screamers go in. but what frustrated me was the fact that we didn't seem like we cared to react after that. instead it was headless chicken football all the way since that moment. typical inter that we have seen so often since gasperini took over in 2011/2012 (yeah we still played decent football under benitez and leonardo, i would take any of them over mazzarri in a heartbeat atm. heck, bring back hector cuper now and i'd still be okay with that biggrin.gif)

cry.gif , there aren't many options ATM right now sad.gif.

seriously no comment here. Fiorentina had a much weaker squad compared to ours and we still got grinded as hell. same goes as Cagliari.

Particularly not impressed by the defence as seen in the highlights. Mistakes by Vidic and a lack of marking on Callejon gifted him a brace. Other than that, everything should have been fine (eg. Guarin coming on and scoring immediately and a troll header goal by Hernanes laugh.gif ) .We already conceeded 9 goals in 3 games, what a shock blink.gif .

Anyway, I'm very proud of the team's mentality as it has improved quite a bit as they didnt give up after conceeding. However, we have a long long way to go. cool.gif whistling.gif

grazie to the moratti family, especially massimo moratti. undeniably, the biggest interista on this planet. notworthy.gif

regarding the draw against saint etienne, i didn't watch the game. no live telecast on astro and perhaps i wouldn't have watched it even if there was. i don't give a single shit about europa league unless we win it eventually. but that is very unlikely to me. no way with this pathetic team.

long long way to go towards going to the top indeed. long long way to go to see a glorious sight like this again.

Upcoming match : Parma vs Inter

user posted image

The Squad :
Goalkeepers: 1 Handanovic, 30 Carrizo, 46 Berni
Defenders: 5 Juan Jesus, 6 Andreolli, 15 Vidic, 22 Dodò, 23 Ranocchia, 25 Mbaye, 54 Donkor
Midfielders: 10 Kovacic, 17 Kuzmanovic, 18 Medel, 20 Obi, 27 Gnoukouri, 29 Camara, 44 Krhin, 88 Hernanes
Attackers: 8 Palacio, 9 Icardi, 28 Puscas, 97 Bonazzoli

Parma's squad :
Coric, Iacobucci, Mirante, Costa, De Ceglie, Felipe, Gobbi, Lucarelli, Mendes, Rispoli, Ristovski, Santacroce, Acquah, Lodi, Lucas Souza, Mariga, Mauri, Sarr, Jeraldino, Cassano, Coda, Ghezzal, Palladino

Best chance for Mazzarri to get 3 wins in a row sweat.gif . As always, the players must not underestimate these basement dwellers like against Cagliari where we would be punished badly thereafter. Other than Mirante, Lodi and Cassano ( doh.gif ), we should be pretty good to handle the rest and hoping to wake up to a win tomorrow.

facepalms all around. mazzarri was facepalming a lot last night i noticed. not sure if it's him, the formation, or the players is the real problem, or maybe all of those. we were pathetic. no threatening attacking move whatsoever, so predictable as ever, it's too easy to defend against us. our only tactic is passing the ball around among ourselves before finally passing it to one of the wingbacks and whipping in those hopeless crosses.

and i've never really liked obi. he's perhaps the most boring and bland of our players. i don't even know what he is good at. and palacio is getting that milito syndrome. his touches were awful last nite. we can't score from open play ffs. we badly miss khal drogo. damn, when will he be fit to play again?

I'll admit I'm all the while trying to be on Mazzarri's side but he keeps disappointing. One more disappointing performance in the league and that's it, I'll officially be moving into the "Mazzarri Out" bandwagon. vmad.gif

Our options ain't good either, Mancini, Moyes or Mihajlovic - ffs they won't fair better. We need a dynamic coach who is flexible in tactics and focuses on ingraining youth to the team, somehow I miss Strama yawn.gif .

MILAN - FC Internazionale would like to announce that Walter Mazzarri has been relieved of his duties as first team coach.

The club would like to thank Mazzarri for the commitment, dedication and professionalism he showed over his 17 months in charge. Today's training session will be taken by Giuseppe Baresi.

yawn.gif
My view : Personally, I do not hope Mancini takes over. Rather, I'd hope Baresi stand in for the remaining of the season until we find a good replacement next season.

Oh, its Mancini!

Still going to support him and wish him the best. However, us fans should at least try to not be so optimistic after so many coach changes, won't be that bad until we see #ManciniOut one day.

oh. ermahgerd. that was so sudden.

welcome back, mancio.

aye i am not too optimistic about this. for some unknown reason i was optimistic when mazzarri first came to replace strama and we all know how it turned out in the end. but unlike mazzarri, mancio is a proven winner so he can't be worse than mazzarri surely, or i hope so.

no more 3 at the back at least? tho sometimes i feel the formation isn't the real culprit. maybe it's the players themselves. the mentality, quality and all. they are just not good enough.

good luck nonetheless. i consider you a legend mancio. bring back days of glory to inter please.

Looking forward to Mancini's new tactical setup which could prove the dealbreaker in this fiery game. Not much to say here. Apart from wishing the team all the best and three points, I would finally be able to catch this match. Nevertheless as always, may the best team win and Forza Inter per sempre!!!

1-1 whistling.gif .

A result that is ok, but I still think we could've won if Icardi had finished better. Despite some lapses of Mazzarri-like tactics, I'm going to admit I'm starting to like this Inter now. icon_idea.gif A comeback from Menez's goal and a lot of hunger to get the winning goal, hats off to the team.

Of course, it ain't all that good. With bad passes and a couple of poor defending in which SES almost scored and we were lucky. Overall tho, 7/10.

yeah. not a bad result and we played quite good especially the first 10-15 minutes. yeah, icardi did fark that one up. seems like the only way for us to win a goddamn game is by scoring first. but why do we always have to concede first? sweat.gif

but still content. at least the team looked more organized and not clueless like when we were under mazzarri. kuzmanovic was pretty impressive as well, which was surprising.

Roma vs Inter - Match ends 4-2. Can't really help it with the quality of Roma's players, as a team, they are light years ahead. Anyway, the spirit was what we wanted to see at least, and it kind of is there as we got level twice. Many individual mistakes (eg. Guarin for the last minute FK), bad link up and crosses (Mazzarri-like) coupled with a poor defence and a too adventurous Dodo, its the best we can get for now.

Next match : Stramacionni's Udinese yawn.gif

i did expect we would lose, and we did. we lost to a better team, simple as that.

yeah, now that we have played napoli, milan, roma, fiorentina. most of our remaining games for the first half of the season should be winnable. i hope we will not drop so many points now or we can forget about that thrice-damned third UCL spot.

Chievo 0-2 Inter

Initially, I had not wanted to catch this match but a stuffy nose got me up for one and a half hour. What can I say, I'm impressed with what I've seen.

Many positives we can take from this match with Kova grabbing a goal, a helpful Icardi (despite not being influential in the second half) and at last a spirited team that was constantly pushing for another goal (evident after we scored our second).

However, the defence tended to be shaky when relied on with Handa and our offensive play keeping Chievo's attack diminished.

Everyone put in a solid performance from Medel, DÁmbrosio to even Kuz. Guarin on the other hand, was kind of good in distributing play but had he not messed up our counters, we could've have scored past 5. Nagatomo was just ok and I'm happy the offense is good even without Osvaldo playing.

We should all rally behind Mancini as he knows what's he doing. Get him a couple of wingers, quality defenders and most importantly time. Of course, still lower your expectations because this is just Chievo but I can see the good work of Mancini here.

Finally, 3 points for our returning coach. Forza Inter!!

I see hehe. Celtic is surely a tough opponent. On the side note, Sassulo is a point behind us sweat.gif thanks to Mazzarri tongue.gif. I think if Mancio had taken over quicker, we could've have gained more ground especially fixtures against the weaker teams in the start of the season. It's the past and something past that still regrets me is why we pulled the plugged on Bonaventura. Born Interista, agile and creative. Well, he would fit into Mancio's tactics but not Mazzarri who cares about defending, crossing going for a draw yawn.gif .

The Lazio match is this upcoming Monday and I think it'll be the last morning match I'll wake up to watch for the season. Other times, I'll just catch 10 pm matches which is very rare sad.gif .

Inter vs Lazio. Match ends 2-2.

I think we really can't complain of the result especially being pegged behind 2 goals before the second half. Good comeback from the team for the final 25 minutes or so. And we only certainly start to play well in the second half which is doh.gif . If only we could play like that the whole match, I'm very sure this would've been a win.

Positives:
- managed to comeback from 2 goals
- Kovacic scored
- Palacio ends his goal drought
- Bonazzoli is seriously an interesting prospect cool.gif

Negatives :
- Guarin
- bad first half
- poor consistency (excluding the play after Kovacic scored)

Obviously, its a fair result here but I do feel we should've have won it had we played like in the final 25 minutes the whole match. Next up though, Juventus doh.gif . Forza Inter nevertheless!!

**
Forgot to state, I only watched the second half and from what I've read around, the tactical blunder of putting Dodo instead of Medel costed us and Medel was actually key to stabilizing the defence.

i only watched the 1st half, then got pissed off and decided to sleep.

yes, medel is crucial for us. not saying he's a good DM, but at least he does what is expected of a DM. you can't expect kuz, kova, or guarin to play such a role, mancio. our defense is a joke, so at least have the wits to play a proper DM at all times. speaking of DM, where the heck is m'villa? injured?

Kinda feel bad for you man, the second half was seriously good blush.gif (well for me at least).

Yep, they aren't attributed to do that. And just exclude Kova, he has to be the creative force and shouldn't have to defend much but just push and push forward.

Hmm speaking of M'Villa, he isn't injured but I remember reading he hasn't been at his best fitness due to not playing much in Russia before he came. I'm kinda worried if our coach isn't patient enough to wait for him to regain his best and in the end not buying him permanently. yawn.gif

Hope he'll be a huge success with us like how Gervinho is with Roma.

Particularly impressed with the coordination between the management and Mancio as with him, the club's ambition has heightened and we are starting to aim higher for top targets. I'll doubt that we would have pulled it off with Mazzarri still as head coach.

SM: Inter & Liverpool duel for Shaqiri, the offers, & players choice
Sport Mediaset report that the three are now seriously down to two.

Inter and Liverpool remain in the Shaqiri chase. Liverpool have money readied now, €14 million by many accounts. While Bayern would prefer immediate purchase, the player prefers Inter. After speaking with Ausilio, his family, and agent/brother Erdin, the player decidedly wants to join the Nerazzurri. The Milanese club’s offer is €3 million immediately for a loan, and €12 million to be paid starting in the summer, with payments over the next three years.

BREAKING : Inter has an agreement with Shaqiri

Inter has an agreement in principle with Xherdan Shaqiri. This is what Sky Sport reports and the channel also reports that what remains is negotiating and finding an agreement with Bayern to finish the deal. The Swiss international is Mancini’s prefered player, but this doesn’t mean Inter gives up on Lavezzi. One of the two players could arrive because they have been chosen by the coach. Lavezzi knew that he would be punished and fined by PSG, having a war with the club doesn’t convince any players but “Il Pocho” could still be sold.

What our players have to believe in is that they can do it and have what it takes to win the game! We might not have the better squad but the players must have the right mentality when approaching this game. No more losing and no more settling for draws. If we are to prove that we are challenging for that third spot, this has to be a win. Heck even Genoa managed to defeat them, and they do not have a better team than Juventus - par us too. It would be good to see those Rube scums falter - at their own stadium! brows.gif

Rubentus vs Inter : Match ends 1-1
Missed this due to not waking up on time sweat.gif .
Anyway, just catched on the highlights and reports, once again I think it was kind of like a repeat of the Lazio game where they dominated in the first half and we only ever start playing well in the second.
Not much to say but I'm happy we could overturn the result.
Handa really must stay, until we get better defenders, he is the one always saving us nod.gif .
Idk about Kova's red though. blink.gif .
Icardi too should stay. He can develop well into a lethal finisher, just watch that goal he had us equalising.

Forza Inter!

EDIT: Oh my maybe I shouldn't have been too hyped with Icardi. He missed what a close chance that could've got us winning! vmad.gif

i watched the game and my word, what a crazy game it was. biggrin.gif

osvaldo went apeshit on icardi, kovacic with that nasty tackle and got sent off for that. and icardi, he was both the hero and villain for us in that game. laugh.gif

we were horrible and clueless in the 1st half, but in the 2nd half we totally looked like a different team. especially when poldi came on, we played good, very good indeed. we were all over them and suddenly it was juve who looked shaky, nervous, and terrified.

damn, that sitter missed by icardi. if only he got that right. doh.gif

but i'm still happy with the result. we were playing against the best team in the league on their own turf and gave them a difficult time as well. so i don't have much to complain i guess.

poldi seems very promising. really like how quickly he has adapted to the team. he seems a very likable dude too, smiling, making japes, laughing. and that passion he showed in that game, just incredible. forza poldi, forza inter. thumbup.gif

there are talks that we have terminated osvaldo's loan contracts. not sure how much truth is there in those talks, but if it's true, it's a shame then. i really like osvaldo, i rate him better than icardi if truth be told. but why? can't be just because of his outburst at icardi?

I read that Osvaldo too shouted at Mancio other than Icardi. ohmy.gif
I'm the same, I would not want him to leave. He plays with a lot of grinta (passion) and good technique. Don't really buy into these reports and let's just hope all three of them can sort this out properly.

Amidst the bad internal problems, we kind of have happy news sweat.gif .
Shaqiri is ever closer to Inter and is more of reality than a dream! thumbup.gif
The deal is expected to be closed shortly but sometimes you never know especially competing with a PL club offering more $ doh.gif . Still I'm very hopeful we could see Shaq in the Genoa match.

After that, better fix that damn defence! Finally Rano is benched and I hope either Vidic or Andreolli can displace him out of the XI.

I wouldn't call him a midget especially since he's around my height yawn.gif sweat.gif
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he could do wonders to our team. We just got to believe.

In other bad news, Osvaldo has received a suspension from the Genoa game as well as a hefty fine by the team. I hope he sure stays, we still need his quality and I hope he apologizes.
Frankly, this hasn't been the first time actually he's gone mad and shouted at a teammate at Inter. I read that Nagatomo was his target for delivering him sub par crosses.

Osvaldo is a cancer to the locker room, there's no other way to put it. It wouldn't be long before he punch someone (again) and piss off the fans.

by the way, great pickup there for Shaqiri, i always think that he's kinda wasted at Bayern.

Thank you for your time here fellow Romanista biggrin.gif .

Yeah, its true about Osvaldo. But I think this incident shows more of his passion and will to prove Rube wrong instead of his personal desires. I agree he should've have actually kept calm as there is no guarantee he could've scored it.
In the long run, it might be bad but we can't really get an affordable player at his technicality level considering our economic ties currently so we have to keep him! I think we should give him another chance and hope he settles this well.

I'm kind of backing Roma this season a little, you know to crush those Zebras laugh.gif .

Loan with option to buy at 15 mil and could rise to 17-18 mil with bonuses being paid over 4 years.

Yeah, the club's broke and thats why I'm so happy the management still managed to thwart Liverpool that offered more cash and outright payment.

Upcoming Match : Inter vs Genoa
user posted image
Our Squad :
Goalkeepers: 1 Handanovic, 30 Carrizo, 46 Berni
Defenders: 6 Andreolli, 14 Campagnaro, 15 Vidic, 22 Dodo, 25 Mbaye, 33 D’Ambrosio, 54 Donkor
Midfielders: 13 Guarin, 17 Kuzmanovic, 18 Medel, 20 Obi, 44 Krhin, 88 Hernanes, 90 M’Vila
Attackers: 8 Palacio, 9 Icardi, 11 Podolski, 28 Puscas, 91 Shaqiri, 97 Bonazzoli

Their Squad :
Goalkeepers: 1 Perin, 23 Lamanna, 40 Prisco;
Defenders: 3 Antonini, 4 De Maio, 5 Izzo, 8 Burdisso, 13 Antonelli, 21 Edenilson, 87 Rosi;
Midfielders: 20 Costa, 33 Kucka, 38 Mandragora, 69 Sturaro, 88 Rincon, 91 Bertolacci;
Strikers: 16 Lestienne, 18 Fetfatzidis, 24 Falqué, 32 Matri,

My last watched game before I move off and stop updating regularly here notworthy.gif . As you can see, our team is much much better in individual qualities compared to Genoa's squad but Genoa have been strong all season (winning to Jube) because they are united and play as a team. Matri, Kucka and Bertolacci are kinda the ones Inter has to be wary of in attack as well as their defensive counterparts Burdisso and Antonelli together with a very good keeper in Perin.

Match is 7.30 pm in Malaysia later today and I definitely would catch it. Hoping to see the second half Inter against Jube and Lazio for the majority of the time. Hoping this to be a win to catch up against that 3rd spot and prove it into Gasperini's face for dissing us all the time. whistling.gif

Inter vs Genoa. Match ends 3-1.
Superb first half but unconvincing second half. Can't really blame the team though as Genoa switched to full fledged attack during the second half and the team couldn't really keep up with their tempo. But still, a very spectacular win with Palacio getting his 2nd of the season, Icardi once again and Vidic his first goal in Inter colours!

A lot of positives we can take from this match. We are finally having a proper identity and no more useless Mazzarri crossing but a whole possesive conserving short passes. Finally, Guarin did spectacular thanks to lesser responsibilities playing with Poldi (really deserved a goal for all that passionate running). Finally the defense was doing good and evidently with the absence of Rano. Vidic really still has it and playing in a 4 man defense is his best. Medel as always safeguarded the defense. Too bad we have to wait for Shaqiri's debut next week sad.gif .

Guarin is my MOTM for winning us plentiful possesion and just doing what the coach expects. Up close is Poldi and this is followed by Vidic.

Keep going like this and we are sure closer to 3rd place. Still, there is room to improve especially in the second half.

the first half was a joy to watch, but in the second half, we looked indeed unconvincing like you pointed out. what's with us always having one good half and one bad half ? this has been going on for quiet some time now and it seems like even mancini hasn't been able to fix that yet. do something about it ffs, please.

guarin was amazing in the first half. there was one run he made, skipping past his marker with sheer athleticism. should have just blasted it there. a shame he decided to be unselfish when he should have chosen to be selfish. but yeah, a superb performance.

vidic, yes a commanding display by him. that's what we expect from a world-class centre back like vidic. he struggled with that ridiculous three-man defence (of course, everybody would with that thrice-damned stupid tactic), but in a formation with a back four he's just class. poldi was great in the first half, but almost invisible in the second. a shame we couldn't see shaqiri making his debut.

what, where are you going mate? come on, school is only back in session. bugger your academic books. it's too damn early to be squinting at them. biggrin.gif

Guess it'll be an amazing match in front of your eyes next week. Guarin, Poldi, Shaq, Kova and Icardi, not to forget Hernanes flex.gif .

Hmm... I saw Osvaldo on the stands though. And he seemed kinda ok when Icardi scored. I hope there is room for them to mend what has set them apart.

sometimes football can be funny. such a difficult game to comprehend. not so long ago, we put an impressive display against juventus (undeniably the best team in the league) at their home ground. i would say we were on par with them in that game tbh. nah, we could have won the game really.

but last night, playing against f***ing empoli of all teams, we were totally outclassed in every department. at some point of the game, i couldn't help but wonder if we were actually playing against 11 players? it seemed like they were playing with 843683462067 players (okay, that's an exaggeration but you know what i mean). they were simply all over us. they were all over the place that we couldn't even keep the ball for 3 secs ffs. their energy, their pressing, their game plan. oh they were so damn good that every one of their players looked like ronaldo and messi and yaya toure and pirlo and hummels and thiago silva combined.

we were lucky to get away with a point. if not for handa's heroics (as always), we would have been spanked so hard in the arse. credit to both our centre backs as well. rano and vidic were solid.

did mancini f*** it up? well, take a look at the line-up that started last night's game.

handa
campa rano vidic d'ambro
guarin medel
palacio hernanes poldi
icardi

i don't know. maybe pairing guarin and medel together as defensive midfielders was a terrible idea. maybe not starting kovacic was one as well. and palacio... well, he's clearly past it. bad touches, bad decisions. there were two good goal scoring chances involving him. first, he stupidly decided to head the ball when it was clearly easy to just control the ball and shoot it with his foot. second, he decided to pass when he could have just taken a shot. shaqiri did make his debut and did okay. there was nothing he could do when all his team mates were playing like they didn't care (expect handa, vidic, and rano).

in conclusion, definitely a game to forget.

Inter vs Sampdoria (Coppa Italia) : Match ends 2-0

Wow! How weird this team is? From struggling against low level Empoli to beating a high flying Sampdoria sweat.gif thumbup.gif .

I blame it on the Mazzarri syndrome of underestimating small teams. It still hasn't wiped off the squad just yet.

Though Icardi missed a penalty, he got on the score sheet and from what I read, we were kind of decent. Let's hope we can throw away inconsistencies, maybe? tongue.gif

Hehe me too then smile.gif . Waiting to see Rubentus stun to them but unfortunately we would have to wait as Rube actually won 2-0 against them during the first half of the season's fixture ohmy.gif .

We will meet Napoli in the semis and I kinda feel we could eliminate them biggrin.gif .

Next up in the league is against a very defending Torino and this would be a tough one for the squad. sweat.gif

We are very close to Marcelo Brozovic, a Croatian talent that hails from the same club as Mateo according to mercato sources in Italy. cool2.gif

Kind of a surprise transfer like it was when Kovacic signed for us as it just happened so randomly without strong rumours. I'm a little sceptical for this transfer but I expect him to be decent enough considering top clubs are following him like Chelsea and Arsenal.

In other words, I might be able to free up myself to catch the match against Torino tomorrow as it's at 10 pm Malaysia time. brows.gif drool.gif

i have no idea who this brozovic dude is. i just watched some youtube videos though. i know that every player seems as good as messi on youtube, but i like it that he's ambidextrous. pretty good at shooting with either foot this lad.

i believe we were strongly linked with another balkan sounding player before. his name is susic or something like that. not sure if he's joining us as well.

handanovic, vidic, kuzmanovic, kovacic, brozovic. oh yes, balkan invasion. biggrin.gif

i have no idea who this brozovic dude is. i just watched some youtube videos though. i know that every player seems as good as messi on youtube, but i like it that he's ambidextrous. pretty good at shooting with either foot this lad.

i believe we were strongly linked with another balkan sounding player before. his name is susic or something like that. not sure if he's joining us as well.

handanovic, vidic, kuzmanovic, kovacic, brozovic. oh yes, balkan invasion. biggrin.gif
*
Not to forget Shaqiri though who is part Albanian tongue.gif.

Another player that is coming is Jeison Murillo nod.gif , kinda like a second Juan for us hehe laugh.gif .

Willkomen Marcelo Brozovic!

Well, since the coach wants him, we'll trust him with his desired player. Probably Mancini sees some potential in him. He can be a DM for us and from what I've read, he is very versatile flex.gif !

f***ing hell. either every player gets their hidden potential fully unleashed when they play against us or we simply suck balls. nah, maybe both.

Once again, Rano commits that last minute mistake as against Torino too. However, the team particularly the attacking force should be kind of blamed too for not being clinical to put the match to bed but instead playing out a draw. yawn.gif

Only consolation is Santon doing ok for us and while we have wrapped up Murillo for the summer. whistling.gif

yeah, sad. after the treble, i believe inter 'fans' suddenly grew like mushrooms after rain. but they died just as quickly as they grew of course.

in this country, football fans are born as man utd/chelsea/liverpool/arsenal/man city/real madrid/barcelona fans. not supporting one of those teams is so against the norm. biggrin.gif

dude is still pissed off about that, i guess. not even sure if he'll remain here next season. i don't know what to say about that incident. after that terrible performance against sassuolo, what made him think it was a right thing to do, giving his jersey to the fans? the fans must have thought 'whoa? who the fuck needs your fucking jersey? we want good spirited display! we want progress! we want victories you dickhead!'. perhaps that was why they threw back the jersey at him. tongue.gif

still, that was very stupid of the fans. even if you don't feel like keeping that jersey, surely you could have sold it on ebay. biggrin.gif

icardi right now is without a doubt our most valuable player. very young and a super clinical striker. i would only let him go if we get berardi or dybala to replace him. vietto? never heard of him. don't really watch la liga so i have no idea who he is.

i didn't watch the palermo game. how did we play? heard many praises for 'the bro' though.

Atalanta vs Inter. Match ends 1-4
cool2.gif What an entertaining encounter that was.
Abysmal first half as expected by the team and only ever they get better in the second half. biggrin.gif Overall, quite a satisfaction to me as I enjoyed it overall.
Shaq gets his first Serie A goal (lucky penalty though rolleyes.gif) and man, GUARRROOOO!!!!!! icon_idea.gif rclxms.gif F**king awesome moments of brillance with a CR7 esque dribble goal and a thundering long shot!!! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Gotta love this guy for being Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. laugh.gif
Good to see Palacio get on the scoresheet though however, Brozovic was rather quiet in this encounter.
This team never gives up scoring despite being so well leading. Continue like this! thumbup.gif

had to watch it on a shitty stream. luckily the game wasn't as shitty. knowing that we are simply a joke when it comes to consistency and playing against atalanta in bergamo is never easy for us, i expected a loss. thank god we won. so i guess i'm just going to expect us to lose every game then. biggrin.gif

guarin being dr. jekyl and mr. hyde. lol love that analogy. laugh.gif
seriously, he is not that bad as most people make him out to be. guarin is a super athlete. strength, speed, skills. he has em all. what he lacks is consistency and decision making. true he's prone to brain farts, but he's also capable of single handedly winning us games with occasional moments of brilliance like what he showed today. i can only hope that he'll be able to keep being in this beast mode.

next time if we get a PK, please let poldi take it. need him to start scoring goals for us.

Poldi is really dissapointing atm sweat.gif . Too static and doesnt get involved much in the game. I hope he can regain his form like in his earlier matches against Rubentus and Genoa blush.gif.

I really like this new look Inter now thumbup.gif , gosh, what a far cry from Mazzarri...

Let's not keep our hopes to high though once again. EL resumes and we will play Celtic on Friday. Hope we can see another good performance like this.

Right of the bat, good that Milan and Napoli both dropped points here thumbup.gif .

yeah poldi is too static. but i think mancini has realized that playing him as a winger simply doesn't work. against atalanta i think he was played in a more central position, but still he was a ghost. sweat.gif

inter and celtic is considered as one of the classic rivalries in european football.

really excited for tomorrow's game. finally a european knock-out tie again. thumbup.gif

what an entertaining game. very open and end-to-end, something that we hardly see in serie A. thumbup.gif

terrible defensive display by both teams tho. such a shame we conceded that third goal very late in the game. doh.gif

Not sure what to say about that EL game but it seems our defence couldn't match the quality of our attack sad.gif . A little not optimistic we would qualify for the next round.

Hoping we could do well in the league now though. Against Cagliari, we need full revenge on the 4-1 defeat under Mazzarri. Only bad thing is Handa is out for the match injured, but Carizzo seems to be doing well. Just hope the defence can cope with these high attacking Cagliari.

rano and juan cancerous partnership in defense gives me a heart attack. if i were mancini, vidic and andreolli would be my first choice CBs.

Hmm why Juan? blink.gif IMO, he is kinda steady. Just that Rannochia gets caught out of position too much making him have to cover up for him. We should wait until the summer comes and Murillo would come too. smile.gif

Vidic is expected to play in place for Rano though and I'm sure am glad. Dodo would take over as left back while Santon shifts to RB. Up front with the usual suspects in Medel (gosh, wouldn't he be tired playing almost every game? blink.gif ), Guarin and Shaqiri along with Icardi. Sad to see Kovacic lose his form though sad.gif .

Cagliari vs Inter : Match ends 1-2
A little unconvincing display by the team but what counts is the win. Good to see Mateo finally rediscovering his form as well as the unstoppable Maurito biggrin.gif .

Looks like I got too edgy on Juan though, I read that he wasn't that good. blush.gif

And also good strike by Longo. Still, a long way for him to go if he is to be a starter in our team.

Now, the EL!

the goal we conceded against cagliari is why. physically he has everything a CB should possess as he's very strong that it's hard to outmuscle him off the ball. but he needs to work a lot on his sense of positioning. his decision making can be disastrous at times too. i've seen him trying to hold the ball for too long unnecessarily or dribble past the opposition player in dangerous situations when a simple clearance or pass would suffice.

forza inter. hope we'll beat celtic tomorrow!

Inter vs Celtic : Match ends 1-0. Aggregate (4-3)
Fuhhh...really got to my heart thumping as I woke up to check the results. From what I read, wasn't really a good performance by the team but keeping that clean sheet would really help much since conceeding for the last three games.
Fantastic long range goal by none other than the "bird shooter" tongue.gif , IL GUARROOO!!! rclxms.gif Similar goal to the one he scored against Atalanta and I witnessed it livestream tongue.gif .
Other than that, hope its just a matter of fatigue as we need to get prepared for Fiorentina.

it wasn't a bad display by the team, but not impressive either. we were hardly troubled by celtic who were expected to go out there and attack us, but they didn't though. even before the sending off of their player, they didn't seem keen to attack. their only threat came only once when guidetti missed a 1-on-1 and we had carrizzo to thank for that. apart from that, we were quite comfortable i would say.

of course our defense looked shaky at times, especially when they decided to pass the ball dangerously among themselves. gosh, i almost got a heart attack whenever they decided to do that. stahp that please. no more of that bullshit ffs. if you can't pick a good pass forward, just fucking blast the ball away will ya.

that goal by guarin though, fucking sick. what a fucking rocket. reminds me a lot of stankovic. that sheer simplicity of a shot, yet damn powerful and stunning as fuck. goalkeeper had no chance whatsoever. even if he got his fingertips on the ball, that would only end up in broken fingers and the ball would still go in though. no, you don't save that, really.

wolfsburg. we couldn't have wished for a tougher opposition really. they are doing very good domestically. gonna be very difficult for us that's for sure. but in football who knows? i say bring it on!

hard luck. guarin hit the post. had plenty of chances. they scored from the only chance they got resulting from handa's mistake. typical frustrating inter. supporting this team is surely gonna shorten my life span doh.gif

we had a really good goalscoring chance when both palacio and icardi were through on goal. had palacio only passed to icardi, that would 100% be a goal i'm pretty damn sure of that. but no, palacio decided to be the hero himself and decided to shoot instead. didn't go in though, it was a comfortable save for their GK. but that was quite an irony if you still remember the incident between icardi and osvaldo in that juventus game. only in this case, icardi himself was on the receiving end instead. in other words, icardi just got 'icardied' by palacio. tongue.gif

icardi himself missed an absolute sitter prior to that. it was one of those chances that you couldn't help but think that even your grandma would have easily scored from.

fuck the result anyway. no more talk of the 3rd place please. we're done. this season is done.

if we manage to win the EL though... hmm.gif

Pretty unlucky if I am to say. We didn't play that poor instead weren't clinical on goal. Viola on the other hand were comfortable to sit back and took their chance seriously. We are wasteful, and sad to say, Poldi is nothing.

we'll be playing napoli at the san paolo this week. if we beat them, we will only be 7 points away from the third place (assuming that lazio don't win their game). but knowing this inter team, i'm not expecting much.

i have just stopped giving a fuck about this season.

fast forward to next season please. tongue.gif

surely no CL next season. no way we'll overturn the deficit against wolsburg.

and that third place finish, fuck that.

well done inter.

Idk if its the coach or the players fault now.

Forza Inter!! It's been such a long time and still posting in the 14/15 thread laugh.gif.

Martinez, De Vrij, Asamoah, Nainggolan & Politano are all great.

Next incoming transfers, fingers crossed, are Malcom, Dembele. If we can add another RB in Vrsajlko it will be great while going back in for Rafinha will just make this mercato the best one after the treble.

De Vrij for free transfer really a steal.

Nainggolan too a solid midfielder.

Politano is a promising one.

Cant wait to see how far Inter new lineup can go in UCL.

Ashley Young is not a good move. In no way it is an improvement or even a progressive move since he's passed it as a footballer in my opinion.
