just to add a couple of points here..when we losing the ball, we automatically defending with a few players try to recover or intercept the ball. Everyone must be in defending formation because discipline is the core for Mou's team. We cant do anything without the ball, so defending will be the most logically step. I agree that Matic is the huge different from our team before this and he done a great job screening the back four. This also why Jose do not fancy Mata, because he cant track back and defend, even the creative players for us, Cesc, Hazard, Oscar also do a fair share of responsibility in defending.

for Mata deal, iinm the deal came in from United, Jose ask him if he want out, and he said yes.

but that was the only deal for such a big transfer fee, at that time Chelsea was raising fund / and balance the book when we bought Willian, Matic, Schurrle and Salah.

from Jose perspective, he always insist that he need 2 players for every position, that is why we have 6 players for AM,LW,and RW.

but I agree with some of you that, from player perspective of cuz some of them will not play regularly.

i think the reason why BR use the same tactics for consecutive games maybe to get the team gel on the default tactics first before try and tweak the tactics, just to get the sense of stability for new players.

for me BR done a good step to provide enough players for UCL, but because he always targeting the british players forced Liverpool to pay the premium price tag for squad players. other club mostly go for way cheaper foreign players to add squad numbers, then save the money to buy quality signing.

you guys should have a proper squad to be in UCL now, the next step should be injecting more quality players.

I also dont see any problem with english players, the problem is with their price tag, for example, you can pay a defender(squad player) for 20mil, but you can get a foreign player with just 5mil.

with the pricetag, come a bigger responsibility to perform, and will be much easier to be labeled as unsuccessful transfer.
