Can I install media player 9 and 10 in seperate location and does it cause conflict with each other ?

If I remember it correctly, WMP 10 does not give an option to let you keep both running.

hm... i want both version because , ver 9 is faster while loading , but some software need window media 10 saying my ver 9 outdated .
But , i don't feel like install ver 10 where it's slow in my pc when loading dvd movie.

What is your PC spec?

My advice is, if you need something light, you may want to try Media Player Classic. Much more lighter if compare to WMP9, 10 or 11

Not possible as when you install version 10 or 11 then previous version will be deleted

but really.. i used to use a very very slow pc (650mhz sweat.gif) & i installed v10 then everytime i open wmp it will lag like sh!t.. then i changed the default v10 skin to the much lighter v9 style then i loads much faster smile.gif

want to consider using other media player like vlc or media player classic..it can load fast ^^ n light to..i use it when i'm using pentium 3 a time ago..and it play's well

its not possible...

since Installing WMP 10, the installer will replace/updates all the WMP files in your system...
Why you want to use both? WMP 10 got lots more media files support though smile.gif

or you can try like what other forumers suggested...MPC aka Media Player Classic...

my office use WMP11
at home use WMP9 & media classic for 1st PC and WMP10 for 2nd PC;
dun feel any difference;

for movies, u can juz update the lastest codec available, if u dont wish to change to WMP10....
what software needs WMP10 to load?

install a virtual pc at your hdd then u can use it after u open your virtual windows.

p/s: real windows install 1 version then virtual windows u can install other version. but pls make sure u hav enough memory to support it.

Why need two WMPs? The latest WMP should support codecs for the older windows media format.
