got a refurbished 280x dual-x sapphire yesterday.

Certain games run fine but on AAA games, there's flickering and even on chrome (gotta disable hardware acceleration to avoid the black boxes of doom)

Tried cranking voltages by a bit to solve the issue as recommended on9 but doesn't help. Tried the beta drivers as well, doesn't solve it.

Anyone has the same issue and managed to solve it?

The culprit could be the psu. But more importantly hopefully its not the card itself that causing the problem  sweat.gif

don't know what solved it but apparently it works fine on stock clocks.

tried bf4 on ultra settings and it runs smoothly with no flickering so far. 2d apps are running fine as well especially chrome.

well it would be gre8 if i don't have to return it since the seller himself is unwilling to refund when i inquired on it.

Don't fiddle with voltage. Stock voltage would always work fine.

Try out software like Unigine Heaven 4.0. Use the settings below.

Any R9 280x users here?

Been having some weird issues this past few days and i hope it isn't the display card but can't help feel that it is.

Monitor randomly goes black but I can still hear the background noise and my fans are all still running but no display.

Only happens when I'm playing league of legends but that is the only game i make time for so i guess whenever anything extensive is happening unsure.gif?

So this happened a few days back but a quick reboot solved it and again the following day. But today the problem has already persisted thrice in a space of an hr when i tried playing league and i noticed whenever display goes black, instantly all my fans are running on full load. And a quick reboot doesn't solve it. Gotta plug out the power plug and wait a full minute or so before I'm able to turn on my rig.

I've read on other forums that amd cards tend to have a problem like this. So does anyone actually know how do i solve it or is a RMA necessary?
