Check if your mobo/processor can run that speed, not just compatible but can it OCed to it.
Mine 1700 + Asrock X370 Killer SLI combo, with TridentZ RGB 3200, I cant get it stable above 3000, running 2933 only even with 1.35V
I think first gen Ryzen RAM compatibility really sucks.
*
i had issue with my combo 1700 + msi b350m mortar as well with Trident Z 3200 (not rgb one).
windows boot up fine, but randomly BSOD.
i tot bcoz i played with the vcore / cpu frequency, but kept happening even when everything at default.

end up test stable at 2933mhz.
some ppl suggest to set Ram volt to 1.35v instead of auto.
now working fine so far no bsod laugh.gif

ps~ updating bios could work or cause bug too.
i had no issue before updating to latest bios, no bsod running at 3200mhz .
also the vcore reading on new bios on auto was quite high at 1.3+volt.

I might have same ram ( TridentZ RGB 3200 8GB x 2 ) pair with Ryzen 7 1700, cant get higher than 2933mHz.
Mobo Asrock with feb 2018 BIOS version, havent upgrade further.

hey, same as me.
R1700 , Trident Z non RGB 3200gb x2 CL14 , b350m mortar.
i could get 3200mhz at CL14, it runs for a while , but random BSOD.
set to 2933mhz , no BSOD.
both set ram volt 1.35v as per recommended.

probably just the mobo. hmm.gif

Have you update your bios? Mine also same R7 1700, Asus C6H, using 4 sticks of 8GB Trident Z RGB 3200mhz C14 (Intel XMP optimized version), everything set auto, running at 3200mhz 14-14-14 stable.
*
yep
latest one.
set ram volt auto it would load < 1.35v at 2933/3200mhz.
if set at 1.35v , in windows it shows less too
i donno if i should set more.

anyways, not impacted by much of my normal usage.
and i bought a x470 board, donno when have time to swap board sweat.gif

Setting voltage is not enough.

I spent 2 hours just to get my RAM to run stable at 3333Mhz.
*
seems to be.
just finished swapping from b350 mortar to x470 aorus ultra gaming.
damn the bios is alot different (me still noobie)

R1700 , x470 aorus ultra gaming , 16gb x2 tridentZ cl14

so much more feature on x470 (main reason bought for the extra usb ports & usb 3.1 gen 2 laugh.gif )
but i felt msi is bit better at user friendly in bios & apps.
so far running fine at stock 3ghz , 3200mhz cl14 at 1.35v.

watching youtube videos now to understand the bios.
no option to change cpu vcore it seems
seeing only dynamic vcore / dynamic vcore soc / etc.

first boot saw that at auto
with turbo boost , vcore was up till 1.4v
anyhow, studying more on mobo oc for now.

Allow me to invite lucidlts to talk about BIOS Interface. tongue.gif

But seriously man, Aorus BIOS is nuts, super duper amount of layers. I also don't like, I don't like MSI BIOS either.

To me it's ASUS and ASRock.

Wait till you try brands like Biostar......... or SuperO.

i spoke too soon.
just BSOD twice within 30min.
setting ram to 3ghz for now till got time to explore.

seems i didnt do much research before buying sweat.gif
tunggu saja la, who knows when Ryzen 3000 come out, other x470s turun harga haha

I'll try that another time.
why is that aorus bios very very laggy. like 2sec response from keyboarr, mouse input.

currently on F3 bios firmware.
i saw on other forum ppl mention there was F4 bios firmware and now no more.
gigabyte pulled off internet.
