We'll get back to you on this one as we need to check with the other teams on availability and such.

Thank you for your feedback, we'll see how we can do better for 2015!

Of coz la... shipping + middle man service ma.  blush.gif
If AMD malaysia bring in this item... It should be approx 370RM.  vmad.gif

newegg selling this item for 98USD.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819113371

or you should wait for the new "kaveri refresh" APU - A6-7400k.
I doubt that they will bring this item.

Hope Lisa Su manage AMD well. sad.gif

999rmb for middle man? cry.gif

Probably will ship to my sister in law in China.

I highly doubt it... sad.gif

Unless AMD could return to their price/performance prowess with their Zen CPUs in 2016, going with AM3+/APU would be a waste...

Heck, APUs are not exactly favorable in terms of price/performance since their CPU performance are not exactly powerful, and if you add a discrete card to the mix, you'll be wasting the performance of the integrated graphics.  icon_idea.gif

The 7400K only has a CPU performance of a low voltage i3, and when it comes to upgrades, the max you could go without switching platforms would be a 7850K, which is only comparable to an i5-760. sweat.gif

The price of APUs are not exactly cheap either.  For example, the price of A10-7850K costs about RM700, which is dangerously priced to a Xeon E3. sweat.gif
You'll be paying a lot for integrated graphics, which most gamers won't be using. icon_idea.gif

Though I'd like to see how AMD competes in the GPU segment.

A8-7600 is good. Can XFire with R7 240 drool.gif

I think price per performance per watt usage is quite good.

Bear in mind that not all games work with hybrid Crossfire... tongue.gif

It can be very buggy to work with. icon_idea.gif

Really? I thought AMD Driver will handle everything.

But anyway, just to think of it already feel good. laugh.gif

If I'm not mistaken, someone here actually bought an APU build and complains it's not performing up to his task....  I think he spent about RM2.5K for one. sweat.gif

Oh god. No wonder goldfries in another thread dissing AMD.

I read about AMD and I feel good. Maybe in marketing only sweat.gif

I m content with A8-7600 HTPC build. APU for gaming still a long way to go. unless AMD come up with super advance memory controller, it might defeat core I5..
*
HTPC? I just build mine with A68N-5000 mobo that include a A4-5000 CPU. I'm also very happy. No stutter etc. rclxms.gif Some more I can use Bio Remote 2 from my phone as remote control. Unfortunely it has no CEC.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jan 19 2015, 02:47 PM)
that one not dissing la, that one fact.

I've been using AMD since first generation, I have all of them till this day.

The technology is superb but it's going to take time, HSA foundation is there but whether software actually uses it will actually take time.

Last year AMD sent me to Singapore to Live Blog their event. biggrin.gif You can see the presentation there.

http://www.goldfries.com/tech-news/amd-future-compute-day-1/

What you must realize is that the event is called FUTURE OF COMPUTE.

FUTURE - that's where AMD is heading and it needs time.

The idea of GCN where CPU is able to use the brute force of GPU is interesting, I would very much like to be able to use my 2048 Stream processors on my work.

I think their direction is brilliant, it's just a matter of time and money. If they pull through then it'll be awesome, different way to get computing done.
*
Frankly, I'm disappointed. I think A10 APU is awesome based on spec sheet. sweat.gif

OK peeps, you've heard much about the upcoming R9 300 series - what are your expectations? biggrin.gif

Price, performance, power, what else? Come come discuss, would be great to hear what our fans in Malaysia has to say.
*
no expectation because AMD does not care about Msia market

Since when do AMD don't care about our market? If you want to blame them for the prices,go ahead, but that's not their fault.

If they care, where is A8 7600?

LOL cannot like that la. That's like saying model not here means they don't care.

Intel also didn't bring in certain models, doesn't mean they don't care either right? biggrin.gif
*
Intel might not bring in some obscure models.

But A8 7600 is one of the most sought after APU from AMD. Just not making sense not bringing it in.
Unless of course they don't care because their older CPU unable to sell. If A8 7600 is here, all old
APU will not move and need to cut price into half since A8 7600 only retail at RM3xx and achieve almost
the same performance as A10 7850 at half the TDP. drool.gif

To me now its not a good time to build a destop, mainly because DDR 4 Ram is pricy, 16gb is close to MYR 1000. Give it another 1 more years and see the DDR 4 trend dies down, and hopefully the price will return to how it used to.
*
Low end 16gb is RM650. RM1000 can get 32GB.
